Feels great in the hand and the holder fits nice and snug and feels solid. I know it's not the best metal but you get value for the money.

This is the knife that years ago I decided against buying after comparing it to the kabar Becker crewman knife. I wanted a knife to put in a bug out bag for disaster survival so I decide to go with the kabar because it was full tang. Now that I have a better idea of what I want this is a better choice for me. Shipping was fast. It's a very high quality knife. The stitching was a bit off with the molle straps in the back but no big deal. This knife is not full tang and in my present opinion is better suited for usage during an urban disaster rather than wilderness survival. The tang stops just short of the pommel thus giving insulation from electric shock and the serration is very handy because in an urban disaster you have many different materials to cut whereas in the wilderness it's mostly wood and rope. I still prefer the kabar for Wilderness if you are doing a lot of batoning of wood, but this is now my preference for a Bug-out-Bag in an urban environment. It also saves space cause I can take off all the straps and don't have to carry an extra sharpening stone. The retention in the sheath is great and the sheath has a rubbery texture to give grip. Attaching to a belt horizontally works better than my other knives. BTW this is the newest version at a decent price. My very first pocket knife was a Gerber and it's still my EDC pocket knife, works perfectly all these years. Now it has a big brother.
