Gilboys Premium Beeswax Polishing Kit for Antique Furniture ('Antique Gold') - Specially formulated by Our own Craftsmen

Before I started trying to restore a badly sun-faded hardwood console table I emailed Gilboys via their website for advice. Even under lockdown I quickly got a considered and incredibly helpful reply, along with a link to a video to show me what to do. The order arrived two days earlier than expected, with a personalised handwritten note of thanks and simply wonderful presentation and packaging. If beeswax polish was jewellery, Gilboys would be the very best of Bond Street. As for using it, to coin a well used phrase it did exactly what it said on the tin. Or in this case, glass kilner jar. It took some care and effort as a novice, but I now have a beautifully grained and colour restored table. I'd have no hesitation in recommending Gilboys to anyone who wants to look after or improve a piece of wooden furniture. Outstanding.

Genuinely awesome, loads of stuff in the box including sweet pea seeds and a personalised note from the makers! Never brought this stuff before but needed to sand and wax our teak coffee tables, worked a treat and doesn't take long to apply+buff. Massive box though.

This is a great product. I have an old antique mahogany dining table with a very faded area. I haven't gone the whole length of stripping and polishing but even just using it on the table has enriched it so much. One day I'll get round to a proper restoration but even with just using this polish it has made a huge difference. Can't recommend enough

Arrived beautifully packaged with a generous supply of wax, fine wire wool and polishing cloth. The personal note and sweet pea seeds were a lovely touch. Only used once on a dark mahogany coffee table which was looking dull from daily use and the odd spillage. The wax was easy to apply and buffed off to reveal a lovely even toned and beautifully shiny finish. Would highly recommend. Would make a lovely gift for anyone who loves their furniture!

This product is totally superb!! Really bought my Victorian mahogany table back to life. Ideally it needs re-finishing, but this product will keep it in very good condition for now. Very happy!

There's not a lot more that I can say that hasn't already been said by other reviewers. The kit includes two generous- sized lint-free dusters, really really soft fine grade steel wool, a kilner jarful of the beeswax polish, even a block of scratch repair beeswax. Note, you might want to hold onto the packaging: the kinler jar is returnable and refillable. The handwritten note acknowledging the order, and the free sweet pea seeds are a final, thoughtful, touch. Then there is the delicious scent and appearance of glowing, nourished wood. What more encouragement is needed to spring clean the house, polishing everything in sight?! Highly recommended. Though NB, do read the instructions for use on the jar before setting forth.

A fantastic product that more than met my expectations. We had bought a canteen of cutlery at auction and the canteen was in a poor lack lustre condition. It was so poor I considered buying a replacement canteen at a cost exceeding £1,000. I then discovered Gilboys polishing kit. I have applied the polish four times and the mahogany has been returned to a rich lustrous finish. And I have never done anything like this before. I just followed the simple instructions. A very happy customer.

I have spent my life being a very Clean person that loves to polish and admire the beauty of the nature of wood when it has a luster of shine to it. And have tried many so many things to make that happen! That would only have a short moment of joy before having to polish it again to get it back. Then I found this product and was blown away! By just how fantastic my Grandfather Clocks looks and how long this shine is lasting and does not even need to be dusted! That these guys wax has me in total love with the product and it's Fantastic!

I used this on end tables and coffee table that had been water damaged and badly scuffed. I used one coat and the finish is beautiful! One table I put 2 coats to cover damaged area. The finish is durable and shiny and absolutely saved me from having to refinish. Buy it! It’s worth it!!

I restored a very faded Georgian oak table top with several coats of Antique Gold Wax without stripping. The colour is not quite the same as the legs but the top looks lovely, the wood grain just glows. I am super happy with this product, well worth the money. It arrived in a beautiful presentation box. I would definitely purchase again.

It takes some time and effort to wax my large table but the end results are excellent!
