Q: Safe for cloth diapers?

Using it with Prefolds and all in ones. No issues and baby is great. We use it all over and with diaper changes, especially before naps or bedtime.

Q: How does this compare to Waxelene? We have Waxelene but curious to see if Burt's is better. Seems like Waxelene has way less ingredients/no perfume.

I actually purchased Waxelene instead of this Burt's Bees product because I found S. Davis's comments compelling. HOWEVER, I have since learned that rosemary oil is to be avoided in children until after the age of 10. To quote The Hippy Homemaker: "Peppermint is safe to use at 6+ years but ALL eucalyptus and rosemary essential oils should be avoided until 10+ years of age." So, I will be using the Waxelene on myself only, and will probably go ahead and purchase the Burt's Bees for my baby.

Q: Is this product cruelty free?

Burt's Bees products ARE NOT tested on animals, no matter where the products are sold. They are INTERNATIONALLY certified by PETA-Certified, Leaping Bunny, and Cruelty Free International. From a Third Party ethics review: Yes, Burt’s Bees is Cruelty-free! None of Burt’s Bees ingredients, formulations, or finished products are tested on animals, anywhere in the world. None of Burt’s Bees products are currently sold in-stores in mainland China. From Burt's Bees: “Burt’s Bees does not test its products on animals, nor do we ask others to do so on our behalf. You’ll see the Leaping Bunny seal on our packaging to reinforce our commitment. Please know we are absolutely committed to our no animal testing policy.” Folks who answer questions about animal testing SHOULD NOT imply that Burt's Bees MIGHT test on animals for products sold abroad.
