Love these running shoes
This is my second pair of Nike Air Pegasus 34 (after running through 3 pairs of Air Pegasus 33s last year). This has been my go-to running shoe for the last couple of years.I run 50-60 miles a week, most of those miles are on paved surfaces. I like these shoes because they are durable (I’ve had problems in the past with Asics wearing a hole in the toe box, never a problem for the Air Pegasus for me), they are cushiony enough, and they’ve helped improve my strides and I have had fewer running injuries since switching to the Air Pegasus (I also lost around 30 pounds at the time I switched up running shoes, so losing weight could also have helped lower my running injuries. Air Pegasus don’t prevent running injuries, but they do help me run with better form and that helps me have fewer injuries). The toe box is roomy enough for me (I may have a narrow foot), and I rarely have problems with blisters or toenail bruising with these shoes (I frequently go on 15-21 mile runs with these shoes, where sometimes that may be a problem). The cushioning is less cushioned then some other running shoes, but I think it helps me spring back and improved my efficiency – this probably isn’t true for everyone though.I find the tread wears out for me a lot faster than the inner shoe, and retired my old pair of 34s when the treads were worn at the heel and the mid-foot. The shoe is going to wear down eventually at some point, but usually the inner shoe gives up on me before the treads, but not with Air Pegasus. These shoes are quite affordable for a very good quality running shoe. Most running shoes are built to last 300-600 miles, and that means I go through shoes in about 3 months or a little less, so it’s good to have affordable running shoes that I don’t feel bad about having to replace at a pretty high rate. My first pair of Nike Air Pegasus 34s lasted about 3 months, so probably somewhere around 450-550 miles, which is pretty good. These shoes should last much longer for most people who are not running 50-60 miles a week, but I thought I'd be honest with how fast they wear out for me.I recommend these as a running shoe – I am training for a marathon and so far I’m very happy with the performance of these shoes. I actually “prefer” the Air Pegasus 33s, but as those are a lot harder to find these days, the 34s work for me. It took probably about 200 miles to get very comfortable running with the 34s compared to the 33s, but now the new shoes (that have around 100 mileson them now) are just as comfortable as my old 34s (and 33s) were. But, as a runner, I would like to mention that all runners are different, and a shoe that works well for me might not work well for someone else. We all have different shaped feet, different ways our feet hit the ground, different leg mechanics, weigh different amounts, run at different speeds, and all that means some people need more cushiony shoes, some people need shoes with a bigger toe box, some people might do better with a flatter shoe with the less heel lift.

I personally get frustrated when I find a shoe I love, only to buy it two or three times ...
I don't review many items, but I'm big into running and I know how big of a decision selecting the right shoe can be. I personally get frustrated when I find a shoe I love, only to buy it two or three times before it is essentially unavailable in ANY color in my size. Then I'm back to the drawing board. So here's the review. FWIW, I'm 6'4", and 190lbs. I run about 100 miles per month. I have a neutral stride. I run a decent amount because I like IPAs and cheeseburgers.I absolutely LOVED the pegasus 33. I had a history of knee pain on runs that went longer than 5 miles. For years. When a buddy talked me into trying a half marathon, the 33 got me to train for 13.1 relatively pain-free. A few months after the half, I did a full. The 33 was the shoe that got me through. Maybe a tad bulky, but comfortable, padded, and reliable. I bought a new pair before my first marathon, wore it for 2 short runs, and used them for the full 26.2...out of the box, the 33s were just like running on the clouds. However, every 250 miles or so, I'd have to replace them. Did a few marathons and a few halves rocking the 33s in whatever color scheme was left in my size online. Last year, there was not a 33 in a size 12 to be found. I had to try the 34s.At first, I absolutely hated them. They felt less padded, and there was a pronounced spot on the side of the shoe that caused some serious discomfort. I almost sent them back. After getting 1-2 miles into a run, the discomfort would sort of ease off, and then it was fine. But I have to say - after 50-100 miles or so, they really got comfortable for the entire ride. Moreover, they lasted almost twice as long as any shoe I've ever owned. I just bought another pair of 34s after 400 miles on the last pair.I don't know if there was a serious change to the way the shoes were designed, but I found the 33s to be soft, pillowy, and comfortable out of the box. But at around the 200 mile mark, I could really feel the 33s breaking down. On the other hand, the 34s feel lighter, yet more rigid - and they can feel uncomfortable out of the box. But for me, once they were broken in, they were a terrific shoe that lasted a long time. If you loved the 33s, then you'll probably find the 34s to be different - but after a rough start, I really grew to like them.

Comfortable, cushioned and quality running shoe!
This is my 4th or 5th pair of Nike Pegasus (I think my first pair was 24?), but I haven’t had a new pair in a few years. I’m training for a half marathon right now and alternate these and a pair of Nike flex. I have 25 miles on these shoes so far and they will definitely be comfortable throughout training!I was having some ankle and knee pain, so decided it was time for some new running shoes! The mesh on these is very comfortable, they have great cushion and arch support without being heavy and they’ve been friendly on my knees and ankles!I usually wear 8/8.5, but I’ve always bought size 9 in Pegasus (I like to size up for running shoes) and it’s the perfect size. My only complaint is that the toe box is a little looser than I’d like, but I can deal with it.

1/2 size larger. Good cushion
Fits great. I went 1/2 size larger. I've learned that's the going rule for running. It works good for my knee tear since I tend to step on the outside of my foot. The black color has dark blue undertones... Heads up if that'll bother you. I was super paranoid and was looking up the shoe and how to tell it's a counterfeit because of another review. I think you do have to pay attention to the seller. Mine was ShoeCargo and I noticed when I went down to the size of the other reviewer who said it was counterfeit that it was a different seller. Mine came brand new in a Nike box and had all the Nike whatevers to make it legit. Good shoe

Nice black pair of shoes.
Very nice pair of shoes. They’re comfy and look nice. Did 4 stars because my left shoe decided to start squeaking when I walk and it’s kind of annoying, but like them otherwise.
