BUCK(バック) フォールディングハンター110FG BK-3

昔懐かしバック・フォールディングハンター。以前のものが行方不明となり、キャンプの再開とともに30年ぶりに再購入です。満足するほどの切れ味を求めるなら、それ相応に研がなければなりませんが、まじめに研げばブレードの品質も良く応えてくれます。値段もちょーどいいかなぁ。

オピネルしか持っていなかったナイフですがこちらを購入しました(●'ω｀●)見た目もよくズッシリと重みがいいです(●'ω｀●)

まがい物ばかり集めていましたが、試しにBUCKを購入。 アメリカ製ということもあり、さすがの重厚感。フォールディングナイフの定番の名は伊達ではありません。 取り出し操作の節度感やフィンガーグルーヴの仕上げなど文句無しです。

最高です!! 最初シースに入らず焦りましたがどうやら細い方を入れるようで逆にしたら入りました(￣▽￣) 手にした時のこのどっしりとした重み!!さすがBUCKって感じですね 切れ味も最高!!

切れ味抜群です 質感も文句なしで良い買い物でした 使わない時はディスプレイとして。

このナイフは薪割はできない。 フォールディングナイフだから、無理に薪割すると接合部が破損する。 刃が厚く重さもある為、料理に使うときも細かい作業に向いていない。 このナイフは、狩猟ナイフ。 獣の皮を剥ぐ、肉を切る、等に使う。 キャンプの時に使うとすれば、木の皮を剥ぐ、木を削る、肉を切る、魚を捌く、ロープを切るなど。 握り心地はとても良く、獣の血で指が滑らない様、ハンドルに指が引っ掛かる様になっている。 BUCKのナイフは期待を裏切らない。購入金額以上の価値がある。 このナイフを所有して20年程度経つが現在も時々、刃を研いで使用している。 購入して損はない。

重量がありちょっと重く感じます。しかし切れ味は素晴らしくハンティングに使用しています。

ハンターナイフと言えばこのバックの110(ワンテン)と言われる程でど定番中のど定番だ。 そもそもハンターナイフとは狩猟した獣をその場で解体し、必要な皮、肉によりわける道具の事だ。 サバイバルなどでは刃物はラフに扱う物と、一際切れ味の良いナイフを大事に持つ2丁持ちがスタンダードだ。 この110は切れ味鋭く大事に持つ方になる。 まず110を手にした人の殆どが思う感想で、『意外とゴツい』『重い』と感じる人が多い。 写真で見るとスリムに見えるが実際は意外にもズッシリとしていて、大型フォルダーである。 刃の切れ味も箱出しの段階でかなりの切れ味である。 刃は防錆よりの鋼材で柔らかい部類の方だ。同時にタッチアップの道具も持って行きたい。 カッコよさも抜群で、キャンプであえて夕飯はハムの塊１つとして、息子とかにこのナイフで切り分けたハムを割り箸でぶっ刺し、焚き火とかで炙って食べたりするとカウボーイの様でカッコいい笑 グリップの素材は真鍮とウッド。写真では真鍮部分が霞んでいるが100円ショップなどに売っている『銀磨き』で磨けばビカビカの金色になる。 この真鍮部分は錆び易く、緑色に腐ってしまいやすいのでやはり100円ショップの『機械油』などで良いので定期的に油を塗り込んでおきたい。 木グリップの方には機械油はなるべくつけない方が良いと思う。表面に塗ったニスなどが剥がれると厄介だからだ。 以前、110は素晴らしいがグリップ素材が古臭い(バックからしてみたらわざと)ので、真鍮部分をクロム多目のステンレス、木グリップをG10にしたスペシャルバージョンを出してどうかと提案メールを送った事があった。レザーマンと違い返事が来る事はなかったが、最近グリップがオールG10の110を見かけた。 機能美はあるのだが、カウボーイごっこには合わない気がした。

Ein ikonisches Taschenmesser mit Vor- und ganz wenigen Nachteilen. Die Verarbeitung ist auf hohem Niveau, der Schliff außerordentlich scharf - wenn auch nicht ganz gerade, aber dies tut der Funktionalität keinen Abbruch. Wunderschöne Ebenholzschalen, die sich als äußerst hart und robust erwiesen haben. Teils sogar robuster, als die Messingbacken. Hier sieht man leider tatsächlich jeden Kratzer - sei es auch nur ein Sandkörnchen, dass sich in der Lederscheide verirrte - was als Gärtner leider nicht soo selten vorkommt. Wenn man die Optik bewahren will, sollte man aufpassen, das Messer nicht in schmutzigen Umgebungen einzusetzen. Wer mit Kratzern leben kann, wird dennoch ein sehr taugliches Arbeitsmesser vor sich haben - auch wenn es dafür schon fast zu schade ist. Die Lederscheide ist übrigens ein weiteres Highlight. Dickes, derbes Leder; Robust und unkaputtbar. Klar sieht man Kratzer, aber dies macht die Patina aus. Man sollte sich übrigens davon verabschieden, das Messing zu polieren. Dies ist eine Lebensaufgabe. Sobald man das Messer wieder spiegelblank poliert hat, reicht ein Fingergrabscher und es oxidiert erneut. Typisch für Messing, das sollte man vor dem Kauf aber wissen und vor Augen halten. Definitiv nicht mein letztes Buck!

Die Qualität ist gut und der Klingenstand ist perfekt.

Wanted a classic folding Buck knife for hunting and cleaning animals. Included pouch is a plus, and looks the same as a 40+ year old one I have. Most of my buddies have folder Buck knives. Back in the day I went with a similar Gerber hunter, which is no longer made. (Collector value is more than purchase price so time to retire) Comparing the buck, it is more stout. Wider handles with fine fitting. Everything feels tight and easy to open. Reasonably priced compared to local stores. Elected to go with finger grooves just for the look and different from buddies knives, so doesn’t get mixed up. Local knife sharpener said they are hard to sharpen. My theory about that is to keep knife sharp from day one!

Super scharf und von sehr hoher Qualität . Ein Messer für die Ewigkeit

This review is for the Buck 110FG folding knife with finger grooves. The fit and finish are excellent; my copy has a very small nick in the wooden handle right where the 50th Anniversary logo is embedded. The blemish is difficult to see; if I had gotten the knife as a collectible I would ask for an unblemished one. However for me this is a working knife so a little 'character' won't hurt the finish. I am not a hunter (haven't been for decades) and don't rely on knives for self defense so I was looking for a pocket knife. (I'll agree that the Buck 110 is a bit large for one's pocket but a folding knife is a 'pocket' knife for me unless the proportions are totally outrageous). The knife will be used for the usual - opening boxes and letters, cutting line, cutting telephone poles in half, digging slit trenches, nothing out of the ordinary. The knife is heavier than expected - it replaced a similarly designed inexpensive knife (that I received as a gift) and I was used to the light weight of that tool. I much prefer the heft of the Buck 110. The blade was sharp right out of the box; no problem at all passing the old "slice a piece of paper" test. The knife, being new, is a bit stiff to open and close. I expect a little 'break in' time will make that right. It feels very tight and very solid. There is NO play in the blade (either up and down, side to side, or fore to aft) in the blade when open. Closing requires a firm push on the closing mechanism; this knife is not likely to close accidently. Ever. Being the 50th Anniversary Edition it has a small logo embedded in the handle and the base of the blade is also marked. I received the knife on 12/31, so there are some 50th anniversary models in stock as of this writing. The sheath (made in Mexico) is very stiff leather and required several minutes of "slide the knife in, slide the knife out" exercises before the knife could somewhat easily be housed and retrieved. Again, this is because the unit is new; like a new baseball glove I expect some wear will make things right. The belt loop on the sheath is likewise tight, but will accept a dress belt (say .75" in width) or a working jeans belt (say 1.5" in width). EDIT: I used the old trick of wrapping the knife in plastic (I used a sandwich baggie) and storing the knife in the sheath overnight; the next night I did the same process only reversing the knife (first night was emblem side down, next night was emblem side up) and that allowed the sheath to expand just a tad - enough to allow the knife to be placed into or taken out of the sheath without undue effort while keeping enough grip on the knife so that it doesn't fall out if the sheath is placed upside down while unlocked. I also added a drop of oil to the moving parts of the knife (I know there are newer lubricants out there, I use 3-in-1 oil)and then wiped everything down with a cotton rag. END EDIT The Buck 110FG Folding Hunter with Finger Grooves simply delivers on its promise - a quality knife made with quality steel by a quality company. Warranted forever by the factory the knife will be there, ready to go to work, when you need it - and you can't ask much more of a working knife. Heavily recommended. HTH Jim
