I've only had this WiFi water timer for a few days, but so far, it's doing the trick! Setup was simple—I already had the Smart Life app, so connecting it to my 2.4GHz network took just a minute. One key tip: make sure to charge it fully first. Plugging in the USB-C overnight ensures a solid charge before use. Fortunately, where I have it positioned, it gets direct sunlight since it faces south, which helps with keeping the battery topped up. I do think the solar panel could be improved by allowing for more pivoting, but overall, it's been reliable. For anyone looking for a sturdy and convenient watering solution, this timer delivers great value. If you need smart, remote-controlled watering without extra gateways, this is a fantastic pick. Highly recommend!

The tool is easy for me to use. I can use my phone to control it. That way I can stay inside instead of going out in the sun. The time is good feature and helps me a lot. The connection is great and you can turn it off and on anytime you want. The quality feels solid, the solar battery is a plus which make it no need to charge with a chord.

Worked great for 5 months. Now it won't hold a charge. It's was super easy to set up and that app was very user friendly. Just wish it wouldn't have crapped out after 5 months.

I have 7 or 8 Wi-Fi water/sprinkler/valve controllers. For years I used a brand known to be the leading brand and all were battery powered, requiring up to 4 AA batteries AND a Wi-Fi gateway. I decided to try this brand as it is solar powered, DOES NOT require a gateway, and is a fraction of the price of my other name brand ones. I have to say this product is outstanding! Even during bouts of cloudy days, keeping the unit charged has never once been an issue. The reason for the 4 stars (and I give the single valve unit 5 stars hands down) is due to the firmware. It is sufficient. However, because I also have single valve units to compare to, I find it a bit antiquated and lacking. The one valve units have newer firmware with a MUCH better user interface and more updates. That said, using the Smart Life app, connecting to Wi-Fi literally takes seconds and it has never once dropped. The rain sensor is also great and works on both single and dual units even with the older firmware. If you have them set on a schedule and it rains, it will cancel automatically for that round, saving money and resources. I have had zero issues with leaks on any unit nor have I had any failures due to build quality. The Durability is not by any means bulletproof but far more than sufficient for the price.

No more alerts to change the batteries. Pros: * Smart/WiFi - makes setup, controlling the unit with the SmartLife app so easy and fast. * Solar - no more changing the batteries every so often, which is a big hassle. * Rain sensor - helps avoid watering on rainy days. * Came with a role Teflon tape. Cons: * The solar panel could be redesign for better adjustment or removable so it could be placed else where with lots of sun lights. However, even at the current location, the solar panel is able to keep the battery charged at 94%. So, maybe this con is a moot point. Maybe it won't work as well under a different environment. Conclusion: Great product that just works and great value. Highly recommend.

This smart wifi water timer is one of my favorite gadgets I purchased recently. It is very easy to be installed. No leaking. The wifi setup was pretty smooth. The wifi connection is strong. I can check the timer status and control it from anywhere and anytime I want. Surprisingly, it uses the same phone app, Smart Life, I have been using for a smart string light. There are two things I like it most. First, besides automatically irritating your plants by adding water schedules from the phone app, I can manually control watering, too. There are two buttons on the device I can push to turn on or off the water as needed. Second, besides solar panel attached used to charge the timer, there actually is a type-C slot on the bottom you can use to charge it by plugging in your own power sources, such as power bank, electricity from wall or your own solar panel with extension. The battery life is good. There is no direct sun at the spot where I installed this timer. For the last ten days since it started, the battery life on the app kept around 80%. To make the weather displayed correctly in the app, you need to confirm your location on the home page first.

This product works great within one month, but after the month the water seems to be breaking through. It could be that the battery expands and the housing inside gets cracked and the water start to corrode all the electrical components that the device stopped working. This is the second product that I buy from them or actually the first one I bought and then then a second one I exchange it. They do have a great support. The problem is that the product does not last more than a month.

Great concept. Being able to control the garden sprinkler with Alexa is a real labor saver. The hardware seems reasonably well made. Unfortunately, despite getting several hours of full sun daily, it can't maintain a charge. I have to periodically connect additional power to charge it. Still enjoying the ability to control the waterer so easily.
