SAF Instant Premium Yeast 16 Oz, (Pack of 4)

Keep in the freezer if you bought bulk.

I have been using SAF for years! Prices recently went up, so I searched until I found this.

One of the four packages of yeast came with a hole in it, with yeast all over the container. A shame that the packing was so poor, as that one pack is likely not fresh or safe. Great yeast otherwise.

This is the only yeast I use.

Product "Best By" date is June of 2022, less than 8 months left of what is supposed to be a 2 year shelf life. Old stock, but Amazon made it right by refunding entire purchase price.

I am very dissatisfied with the yeast I received. It says in the write up on Amazon that this yeast is good for 2 years. My yeast was packed in January 1918. It is only good until Jan. 2020. That is only 10 monthsaway. Maybe the storage was bad on this item too. My regular SAF works better.

Cost was great, and I have had wonderful results using this yeast. Hubs even said the buns were too big!!! Something I would never expect for him to say. I keep it in the freezer, in a jar, for easy use. They are a compressed, airtight brick, which to me just say they will last a good long time in my freezer.

The media could not be loaded.  Love how easy this instant yeast makes baking.I proof my yeast but have never had any issue with this brand.Will definitely purchase again!
