Great TV - Highly Recommend
I bought this TV to use as a reliable, user-friendly desktop monitor, and it works great. I wanted one that will stay on all day without an automated power save mode that requires a wakeup every 20 minutes. (Just threw away an LG that had a power save mode that could not be turned off, and had no product support) Sceptre picture is vivid and I have had zero problems after 4 months. Most of the sound I listen to are YouTube videos where concert hall quality is not needed. At the price, this TV could be replaced once a year and still be a fair value. As for being labeled a "dumb tv", I disagree. It is a TV with basic features that are well executed. It is not a smart tv that is loaded with many unwanted and useless features. As for sound quality, what do you expect from the least expensive TV? If you want concert sound, buy a sound bar.

Sceptre 50" Non-Smart TV
I don't like those smart TV's. Don't use most of the things they offer and it costs too much. This TV is really nice and has a beautiful picture. Was very easy set up and I hooked up my fire stick to it and all is well. No complaints. Very good TV for the price. Would recommend this to anyone.

Very good, but know it's limitations
This was a purchase for my son, a gamer. The price was way better than better known brands with smaller screen sizes. The picture bid magnificent, using a 4k fire stick to watch 4k content. But for the price there must be something limiting. Right? That would be in the sound department. The sound is terrible. But a sound bar cleared that problem right up. Even with the cost of a sound bar the purchase was a great value.

It's pretty awesome.
Let's not screw around, this is definitely not the greatest 4K television you can get your hands on, it's is a pretty awesome piece of television for how much it costs. I love it, I feel like if I paid a bunch of money there would be things I could point out, but for the price this thing is one nice, large, fully functional, and really a good looking T.V. Be realistic about how cheap you are being, this is a big 4K tv, and you'll be very satisfied with your purchase.

DO NOT BUY! TV was good until it didn't 16 months in and the screen is dead
PLEASE READ MY REVIEW BEFORE BUYING(my experience could have been an anomaly, however, I must share my experience)The TV had decent quality definition from a distance, however at $300 dollars the outcome of this TV is unacceptable. Since I got this TV I mounted it to the wall, and have used it (had it on fairly sparingly) i'd expect a few hours each day. It has not moved once in 15 months. Now randomly the screen is completely dieing and putting up northern lights with no screen input. This TV hasn't moved once since i've owned it. I've owned computer monitors for a third of the price that have remained effectively perpetually on for years, and have moved through long car drives and received some dinks here or there, that haven't had an artifact of screen death on them, so to have this TV fail after sitting motionless and lightly used after 15 months is really unacceptable, and my impression would be this company has issues with the quality of their manufacturing process.I've reached out to the company about warranty through their RMA process and customer support to see about replacing this TV, but I'm skeptical they'll make me whole here. I would caution purchasing any sceptre products.IF THE COMPANY FOLLOWS UP WITH ME I WILL EDIT THIS REVIEW WITH MY EXPERIENCE, OTHERWISE, I WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER OFF TAKING MY 300 ELSEWHERE.

Great Buy
I had to purchase an Amazon Fire stick separately, but no problems with the TV at all. Using it with the fire stick, and boom - smart TV. Performance is there, contrast seems good, brightness is pretty good, and its 4K. Great Buy.

Great Pic Dumb TV but Awful Audio
This TV was very affordable at under 250 bucks. The picture is excellent considering the price. The entire width (44 in. Side to side) was a requirement for the 45 inch space on my wall unit. I also specifically wanted a "dumb" TV because the my wifi is terrible & my cable package provides access to all major streaming services. The BIG downside is the audio. The small, built-in speaker is tin can -ish, like an old transistor radio's. This was bypassed by using old school RCA Plugged wires from my cable box to the old school Stereo receiver in my wall unit. The TV has no RCA outputs for its audio, but the workaround is that it has an earphone plug. You can get a hybrid wire the plugs into the earphone jack, then has RCA plugs that can be connected to an audio source. There is no bluetooth, so remember that this TV is essentially a 55" screen monitor.

Great Dumb TV
This is a good quality dumb TV - just what I was looking for! Finally a TV that isn't slow, doesn't need updates, doesn't have to reboot, can't load software I don't want. It just turns on and does its job. Hooks up to my Roku. Perfect. Just got it today. I'll update this review if it doesn't hold up over time.
