Paying customer had a positive experience
I was a bit nervous the purchase since I saw reviews saying how it didn’t work out. I am here to say that mine works perfectly. I don’t have to keep plugged in like one reviewer. I was able to put the cords on with no problem and the rope for when I wanna jump rope like I did as a kid.

Hard to figure out at first
Once I got this cordless jump rope set up, I liked using it. You enter your weight (in kilograms) and as you jump it tells you how many calories it thinks you're burning, how many jumps you've made, and how long you've been jumping for. It even charges very quickly, using usb-c so I just connected to a charging cord already on my house. Now the tricky issue. I could notttt figure out how to get the small rope into the handle.. There is a manual and it's English but I could not make sense of it at all. It turns out you stick the rope end through this rubbery white small "8" looking stopper then through a hole in the jump rope handle then bend rope and stick it through the hole next to the original hole, back thru the other side of the handle and through the rubber 8 piece again, and once the stopper is around both pieces at once it can't be pulled out, then you put a silicone stopper end piece on the end of the rope. Here's my second problem: The set also came with a tiny screw driver and a whole long actual rope, (2nd pic), but with wire sticking out of it and sharp ended. The manual does not explain whey a cordless jumprop also comes with a rope and what to do with it. Not an inkling of a clue do I have. Some pictures show a cartoon user using a regular jump rope. I imagine something about unscrewing the handle top, sticking the long rope in somehow? But how? Why does the rope have wire sticking out of it? And they can't they provide instructions??Back to the rope itself. It's fun to use. My teen absolutely made fun of it and called it stupid but I feel like you maybe don't need a rope to get the exercise benefit. But then she didn't understand why use anything at all and why not just jump in place? Doesn't have to make sense to her but it makes sense to me! After you stop using it the timer on it stops counting so you have an accurate time clock if your actual jumping time. And the screen briefly lights up so that you can see the screen better and then it turns back darker.I may come back to the reviews periodically to see if anyone has figured out how to use the rope!

More fun than a real jump rope!
Like everything else today going wireless/cordless, now we can have all the fun of rope jumping without the stopping, starting, and tripping! It took a few minutes to get setup and the length adjusted to my jumping style/timing, but the instructions were great and helped me to explore all of the features and all functionality. The calorie count matched that on my smart ring and my apple watch, so I know it is at least as accurate. The handles are great quality and seem very durable. Overall, I get a great workout with this smart jump rope and enjoy using it!

Defective, doesn't turn on
A majority of the reviews are from people receiving the product for free. I thought I would share as a paying customer. The screen doesn't turn on, even after charging it for an hour. Bummer, since I bought this for the counter.

Added jump roping to my cardio workout
I’ve been struggling with walking on the treadmill and wanted to go back to jumping rope - I can never find a rope at the gym that has a length appropriate for my height (it always seemed too long with meant I had to keep my arms super spread out or too short, so I’d constantly trip or have to keep my hands too low).I got this rope and there is the overall excitement of having a new “toy”, which makes me look forward to my workout. I adjusted the length to match my height (5’4) and it’s amazing - I find the middle of the rope and step on it with my feet close together and bring both ends to my sides, the handle should be around the armpit area. It’s amazing how humble it makes you haha you think you’ve been jumping forever and when you look at the timer it’s been 23 seconds. The timer stops when you stop jumping and will stay on for up to 3 minutes. It estimates the calories (but don’t hang on to that, that’s just a number) - and you can do a 60 second “challenge” to do it non stop.Overall, I love it and I look forward to my upper body/cardio days so I can use the rope! (I don’t use the cordless option, just my preference!).

Nice
Easy to use and put together, easy for me to figure out without even looking at the instructions too, so that's nice, I love intuitive gear. This is a nice indoor jump rope activity, though I don't actually use the electronic features. I will say be careful letting littles use this without proper instruction or those balls can hit their little wrists kinda hard

I'm using it for shadow skipping and frozen shoulder rehabilitation
I'm not into jumping rope because it is hard on my knees and this cordless jump rope seemed to be a good compromise - allowing me to take advantage of its low-impact isometric strength benefits for grip, arm and forearms without the jumping (shadow skipping). At the same time, my wife started to develop symptoms of frozen shoulder and we've incorporated the use of the cordless jump rope into her physical rehabilitation routine - the ability to lift, raise and rotate the handles at various degrees and angles while swinging in small circles seems to be effective although I've not been able to source any references to frozen shoulder rehab using this particular method.
