USA MADE BLOCKS!
I have ordered from this company before. I bought their owl wooden teether for my youngest. As I've grown and aged, I have learned to look for quality over quantity. I wanted natural blocks made in the USA because of harmful, toxic chemicals. These blocks are smooth and most importantly, safer! Excellent craftsmanship! I am going to purchase another set as my oldest is having a great time making a house! Thank you for providing blocks we can all trust!

My Best Blocks and the 'BEST BLOCKS'!
I sent these to my 2-1/2 year old granddaughter and watched her open them via FT. She was so excited and started building right away. She 'loves them' (her words). These looked sturdy and well-made. There are also many different sizes so she could stack pretty high. I also wasn't worried when her baby brother put one in his mouth, no paint on the outside to come off.I would recommend these for any little ones wanting to build ;~)

Disappointing
The blocks, while well made, were very disappointing. They were half the size of the standard blocks you would expect (memories of a similar set I had when I was a kid). Having a child in the photo with the picture of the blocks might have helped with providing perspective. I returned the blocks and purchased a set from Melissa & Doug which fully met my expectations.

8 month old
Great size for small hands, but not too small that she would eat it. She had a rash after the first day of gnawing on her new Christmas present, but I am not sure it it was a reaction to the blocks, or she was getting sick (which she was). I had heard to boil the wood to get any natural allergens out, so I did and I have not seen the rash since. It was sanded very smoothly until I boiled the blocks which is understandable. Great that there is no paint or harsh chemicals that those chompers can get at. She loves hearing the blocks hit each other and the sound it makes when it hits the ground as she pulls each, one by one, out of a big box and drops it on the ground.

Good quality
I like the feel and heftiness of the blocks. My daughter just turned 1 and my husband and I got them for her birthday. She does not use them to build things up yet, but she takes them in and out of the box (over and over), teethes on them and tries to tear down my buildings one block at a time. The only thing that I was not expecting was the size of the blocks. I used to play with bigger ones as a child and assumed they would be the same size. I am not disappointed since we do not have too much room to store larger toys and the quality is great.

small but good quality.
The wood of these blocks is very high quality- lightweight and perfectly sanded. -- Even smell like great wood. BUT they are small. OK for 2yr and below. Bigger kids will want bigger blocks.

The Perfect first set of blocks
Gorgeous blocks, made in USA, maple. The wood is sanded smooth, but has no finish, so you need not worry about harmful varnishes, etc.The blocks are proportioned 4:2:1, so they are easy to arrange in different configurations. Endlessly fun. These are my daughter's first blocks, and we love them. It is my go-to first birthday present for nieces/nephews.

These are very nice. I purchased for my granddaughter who is 11 months old. I will have to remove some of the pieces until she is closer to two because they are small enough to fit into her mouth and would pose a choking hazard. I can't remember the suggested age, but I knew when I purchased that she may be a little young for some of the pieces. But quality is excellent.
