I have three of these. Excellent value. They set up easily and work well. If you have a lot of devices on your wi-fi, you'll occasional see the video degrade and sort of blank out. Not the camera's fault, wifi signal problem. I had to put in a couple of extenders, but if there stuff in the way to degrade signal (Headers, metal sofits, walls, etc.) this will happen. I put an SD card into the cams, and they keep working even if the wifi glitchs. Good quality video, the AI is okay, it's follows movement, and my flying flag sort of messes with one of my cams... They work with my BlueIris software without issues. One con, as with all CCD cameras, 4K or not, they can't give you good license plate reads with cars driving by. At night time, forget about it, if the plates are 'reflective' you'll get no license plate. For license plate reading you really need to spend $$$ to get optical cameras, not CCD digitals. Other than that, video quality is good enough you can identify people.

This is a fantastic camera for the home or office. One of the best things about this camera is the fact that it has Wi-Fi built into the camera which makes this such a simple and fast install. Installation of this camera was extremely easy, and I was able to set up the camera outside within 5 minutes. I already had the Amcrest Smart Home app for my other cameras. Adding this camera was extremely simple. I have experience setting up cameras, but I made my wife set up the camera on the App and she was able to scan the QR code and set up the camera with ease. When getting notifications, I am really impressed how smooth and fast the replay is. Human tracking is such a beautiful tool. I had multiple occasions when this feature worked well including when I had the landscaper mowing my lawn. The auto tracking features is one key point that makes this camera standout versus other options. This camera also has other features like the spot light and siren which can automatically be triggered (if desired). I love that this camera has 4MP camera which captures HD footage and it does really well at night obtaining footage in color. Overall, this camera is extremely simple to operate and is a perfect camera for home or work. The camera is very affordable given all the fancy features it has. In my opinion, this is one of the best PTZ cameras on the market especially for the price. 5-Stars for this product, must buy!

The camera quality of the Amcrest meets the expectations, delivering the promised performance. It features a zoom function, although it's not optical and the more you use the digital zoom, the grainier the picture becomes. You have the option to connect it to an internet cable, which will require running the cable. Unfortunately, it lacks a Power over Ethernet (PoE) option, which could have been a handy feature. Despite this, I found setting it up on my Wi-Fi to be a straightforward process, which will likely appeal to the majority of users. The customer support provided by Amcrest is commendable. I purchased a used camera that was missing some hardware and linked to someone else's email. I contacted Amcrest through their support website and the issue was resolved promptly. The camera was unlocked within a few hours and the replacement hardware arrived a few days later. All they required was my Amazon invoice information. The setup process is incredibly user-friendly – scan the QR code and follow the instructions to have the camera up and running in minutes. It's also easy to customize your settings. The camera and its accompanying app do not require a monthly fee. You can choose to store your recordings on the cloud for a fee, or locally on an SD card at no extra cost. I opted for the latter. The motion tracking works effectively, although it can be overly sensitive in certain conditions such as rain, causing frequent alerts. To counter this, I deactivated the motion tracking alerts and only used the human tracking feature. The human tracking function is adequate. It tracks my movement for a few seconds before returning to its default position, and then resumes tracking if I'm still within its field of view. While it would be preferable if it continuously tracked a person, it's worth noting that this is a $100 camera with a built-in human tracking feature. Comparable cameras with this feature usually fall within the $400-$500 range. The notification customization for motion and human tracking is a feature I truly appreciate. I set mine to alert me when it detects motion or humans from 10pm to 6am, while still recording all motion throughout the day. Notifications are promptly delivered to my phone, allowing me to promptly see what caused the alert. In terms of rating, I would give: Price: 5/5 Ease of Use: 5/5 Features: 4/5 Software: 3/5 Customer Support: 5/5 For the average homeowner, this camera provides great value for money

If you should need customer support, I assure you that it is the primary job of Amcrest support to fined a way to totally deny any claim you may have regardless of validity. This is my honest opinion and experience. It seems they are trained to stonewall you into submission so that you give up and move on. The representative will tell you to try things that make no sense and make no difference. They are really good at stonewalling and deflecting so I am all but positive they are trained to do just that. The cameras themselves are not bad (if they work). I've bought about 10 Amcrest cameras in the past year and most do work well. Some are obviously bad and have bad colors or some of the features don't work while on another of the exact same camera the feature works fine. Here's my very best advice to you. Try the camera immediately after you receive it. Go through everything. If you have a problem, send it back and try another. It is my opinion from having to do this more than a few times that they take defective cameras and repackage them and send them out again knowing that the next person will either not try the camera before the 30 day return period is up or not notice the defect. When you do get a good one they are good cameras and work well.

I've had Amcrest Camera's for years now and my comments are based upon many years of use. The older camera's that use the Amcrest View Pro program were fairly reliable although they constantly needed resetting. When they were working the video was good but there was a fair amount of resetting. I lived with it because it was inconvenient to change them. Recently, I decided to replace the camera's with new ones and so far my experience hasn't been particularly good. The newer cameras don't use the old Amcrest Pro software and instead require the use of the newer Amcrest Pro Surveillance software – which is not completely compatible with the older software. All of the Amcrest software is not particularly well designed with the icons very small and hard to read. Even the text within the programs is so small that it's very difficult to read. Extremely poor software design. Installing the camera was not particularly difficult and I managed to get it running – for a day. After the first day, the software could not bring up the camera and I could no longer view the video. The wifi signal is strong (the camera is about 100 feet from the router). About a day later, it started working again for a while and the next day it stopped. I could call the tech support line but my experience – which is about 3 years old – was so difficult it was nearly useless although with hours of perseverance I did get things going. If you are going to get tech support help plan to spend an afternoon with someone difficult to understand and not particularly savvy. At that time most of the tech support was offshore but when I actually spoke to tech support in Texas they were pretty good. The tech support here in the states is only available if your problem is escalated. I don't know if that is still true. I plan on taking my new Amcrest Camera's and trashing them. They are not worth all of the trouble and because they've been installed I can't do returns. Just can't spend hours of my time talking to tech support when they should work out of the box. Extremely disappointing...
