Works exactly as it should
We installed it last night and so far it's been working perfectly. It seems flimsier than the original, so I'm not sure how long it will last, but otherwise it was identical.

Lasted 1 month before burning out
Installed and worked well for about 1 month before heat went completely out again. My husband took it apart and the wiring was burned. This was the new wiring that came with the setup.Unfortunately this just happened about a week after the return window, so no refund 😕

Easy to install but don't be lazy! Also clean your vents!
This is the second one of these I bought in 4 months. But stay with me... We had the dryer for 8 years and one day it stopped heating. After some research I identified the heating element as the issue. When I took the part out the first time, I could see a physical break in the heating element. A quick test with my multimeter confirmed it was bad and the other parts were good. So, I only swapped the heating element, and left in the old thermometer and thermal fuse in place. That was my first mistake. So why did it break again. Well, my real mistake was not cleaning the vents properly. Before, I would take my electric blower and put it in the vent hole behind the dryer on full power. The blast of air would force a lot of lint out the top of the roof, so I thought I was good. But what it was really doing was compacting lint at the top. I used a dryer vent cleaner this time and ran it all the way to the top of the vent. A lot more gunk came out. This prevented air from escaping wearing out the components faster. This time it was the thermal fuse that broke. So here I am buying another one. It really does take 30 minutes to swap it.1) Clean your vents properly. Seach for a Dryer Vent Cleaner. use it.2) When replacing , replace all the components, even if you identified that actual part that is broken. Swap all three.I hope that helps.

Good buy
It works great, reasonably priced and delivered just in a couple of days it fit perfectly the only problem the screws that came with the unit was pretty low grade but I just used my old ones and worked great.

Minor adjustments needed to make it work
Be sure to look up a how to install video on youtube if you are not familiar with installing this. I recommend removing the 4 wires on the old element if they look to be in working condition (no corrosion). The wires sent in this are not easily connected to the element. Also I recommend if you have short arms this could be very challenging. I am 6ft tall with longer arms for my height and I found it very difficult to reach the screws needed to remove the old element. This element fixed the heating issue I had with my speed queen dryer and it heats quick like its brand new.

Simple DIY Install
Part arrived quickly to the door ! I watched a couple of YouTube videos for a general sense of what to do. I quickly got to it ( unplugged the dryer ) and pulled the old unit out ( taking pictures for reference ).I then compared units. Installed both new switches onto new unit ( using old hardware ). New screws weren’t for me. Installed wiring back onto unit back the way it was. Took me less than 1 hour. Made sure all lint was clear from dryer & wall vent.Plugged dryer back in with 100% success ! Awesome !

Dies within a few months
Mine just died. I have had it for maybe 4 - 5 months. It worked great when first installed. Then just died! My previous OEM version lasted almost 8 years! Don't buy this unless you have the time and energy to keep reinstalling it!

Great for 2-1/2 months
Worked great from October to January and it’s already stopped working. Will not be buying this one again.
