I’m very pleased with my recent shelving unit purchase. The build quality is excellent — it's impressively sturdy and feels very reliable, even when fully loaded. We purchased 4 Sauder 2-shelf bookcases (model 423031) from Amazon for use in 2 different home offices. They arrived a couple of days earlier than initially expected (with advanced notification from UPS). The most difficult part of the assembly may have been opening the boxes. The cardboard was very heavy (as it needed to be) and the gluing was very strong (as it needed to be). There were no indications of where I could cut the box. I finally tore the first box open by hand. The contents were well packed and there was no damage in spite of a couple of nicks and bruises on the outside of the box. The instructions were clear, all the parts and pieces nicely marked making the assembly reasonable simple. We connected the 2 bookshelves together end to end for stability and appearance. Both my wife and I were very satisfied with the final product. I have 2 more bookcases to assemble but I am confident that they will go well in my office.
