Grand Theft Auto IV Signature Series Guide Paperback – April 29, 2008

This guide helped me as much as the one for GTA San Andreas. When I had no idea what I was doing, wasn't fooling around with Roman, or wasn't improvising on my own, I would reach for this guide and use it with ease. While I do miss what some of the other guide books had (e.g. cars, categorized extras, etc...), it does help you with the overall point of the game: the plot. The main point of this game is that there is a plot and you need to stick to the plot, accomplish tasks, and ensure you performed the tasks properly to advance throughout the game. If you don't stick to the plot, you can, of course, have fun with the game and perform other things as with the previous GTA games. You don't want to buy this guide if you can get through the plot without it, but you might want to purchase it for the extras.

I found this guide very helpful and in many cases it saved me loads of time and taught me a ton of things I never would have known had I not had the book. I completed the game 100% which never would have happend without this guide. My brother was playing the game at the same time and kept calling me asking for tips out of the book when he got stuck on missions. I'm glad I got the most out of this game and can't wait for gta 5.

There is so much to GTA IV that without this guide, it would be extremely hard to hit that 100% completion.. This guide takes you though all the details of the game, mission by mission.. Also includes things like location of every stunt jump and flying rat.. Details of the jobs for Jacob, Brucie's Wanted Car List, Stevie's Wanted Car List, Street Races, Random Characters, Most Wanted Missions, Assassination Missions, and also all your friends and girlfriends favorite activities..The only thing I do not like about this guide is the odd jobs and friends activities are mixed in with the missions.. So I have to flip back and find what I'm looking for.. If they had kept that separated it would be a little easier.. All in all I consider this guide a necessity.

When I first saw this guide on sale for under $1 and with the description saying it has been used for years I was hesitant but figured for a dollar its worth the risk. Boy was I glad I took that risk, as the quality surpassed some of the brand new issues I saw in gamestop. I guess ironically I learned you can't judge a book buy its cover. Maybe nothing good does come free but something good can be bought for a dollar.

I got this game for my boyfriend for christmas. It is now feb. and he is still constantly playing it! He said it is the best present I got him, other than the playstation 3 and the new tv. It arrived right on time perfect. Simply perfect

I wanted to get this book for my youngest son. His birthday was coming up in week. The guide came along with another book I purchase and they were both in great condition. The best part was how fast the books came and the great price.

A very comprehensive guide written in great detail but also in an easy to follow concept. Explains all aspects of the game and all the locations of side quests and missions to gain 100% in a clear descriptive manner with lots of visual guides on locations for items.
