Oils look to be of good quality.

Had long fostered an ambition to attempt an oil painting by following along with a Bob Ross tutorial video, but didn't want to spend a fortune on expensive materials in case it was a total flop. I chose this set of oils because they had good reviews, offered a wide range of colours and the price was right. Well I set aside some time the other night, fired up Bob Ross (The Grandeur of Summer, highly recommended!) and voila! I couldn't be happier with the result! If you're going to follow along with Bob you'll need to get a larger standalone tube of titanium white to complement this set as you'll probably use more white than anything else, for example mixed 60/40 with Linseed Oil to make the 'Liquid White' mixture he preps the canvas with. The names of the colours are different too but I was always able to find a suitable equivalent in this set.

I attend an Art Class weekly .. I will be using these paints properly this week but have tested them and they are what I need and the colour choice is very good.

I've been wanting to try a Bob Ross painting for a while now, and I found these oilpaints nice to work with as a first time painter. They're really cheap, but can still produce nice results if you know what you're doing, or if Bob is kind enough to show you how it's done. These oilpaints are perfect for hobby painters or people who just wish to give it a go. If, however, you're an experienced painter who wish to replicate Bob Ross' paintings as close as possible, you should perhaps consider more expensive oilpaints, or the oilpaints from Bob's own brand, as his paint will dry a bit faster than this one. Still, a great set of paint for hobby painters!

A gift for my artistic daughter who wanted to experiment with oils. She usually uses watercolour and was unsure about oil paints so I got her this set so she could try them....didn’t want to overspend and find she wasn’t keen. This set was perfect, just the right size. She has really enjoyed oils as it turns out so I will be buying more when this runs out......it’s actually lasting pretty well. The paints are good quality and there is a sufficient selection of colours.

Fabulous price for amount of colours. Excellent range of colours and mid tones. Intense colours with a high level of pigment. Paints blend and coat a canvas very nicely. Great range to start an oil paint collection with or to compliment an existing palette as there's bound to be some colours here you don't already have. They also clean easily from the brush whereas other paints can be quite sticky. Would happily recommend.
