Vivoactive 6
What I liked in the VA6:New UX ImprovementsFully redesigned UI/UX that feels modern and premium — more in line with 2025 standards.Notification center with "Clear All" option (finally!).Control center similar to Android/iOS.Built-in Compass app.Revamped UI/UX for several existing apps.Smart alarm (haven’t tried it yet).Adjustable font size.Calendar app that shows all future events — unlike V3, which only shows today and tomorrow.Custom Workout CreationYou can create fully custom workouts on VA6, which the V3 doesn’t support.Course/Route SyncingAbility to send training courses or routes directly to the watch.Improved HapticsThe vibration motor feels noticeably better than the one in V3.Premium StrapThe strap feels more refined and premium than what comes with the V3....and I’m sure there’s more I’ll uncover over time. One thing worth noting: although the watch has a UI that's quite feature-rich and visually heavy, I initially expected it to lag. But after using it for a week, I haven't experienced a single hiccup — it's been smooth throughout. The main reason I switched to Garmin is that Apple Watch—even the Ultra—doesn't really provide actionable health insights. What impressed me about Garmin is the level of actionable insights it offers without requiring a subscription. Some of the highlights:Sleep Score and Sleep CoachStress trackingBody BatteryRecovery insightsCustom workouts and Garmin Coach...and probably more features I’ll discover as I continue using the VA6.Most of the core health tracking features are similar to the Apple Watch, but Garmin seems to go a step further with its detailed insights. So overall, Garmin feels like a more complete fitness-focused smartwatch to me.

Upgraded from the orginial to this
So far so good. Easy to use. Comfortable band. Upgraded from an original Vivoactive and have been well pleased. The bright screen and adjustable font makes it easy to read. I haven't tested out all the features yet but so far so good.

Love my watch!!!
I love this watch!!! Battery life has been great!!! The setup was super easy, you literally scan a QR code. I can get my texts while working out and it's been super accurate. Really cute to wear as well, very comfortable. There are alot of choices of watch faces too and you can create your own as well. So glad I made the leap and bought it, SO worth it!!!

Great watch
The battery life is excellent. I was surprised by how light the watch was. There’s a really nice array of display options and different colors. It looks really terrific. I think it would work well for a man or a woman.

Wife loves it.
My wife has been using the Apple Watch for over five years. She is an avid runner and wanted more data to view with the Garmin connect app. She loves the Garmin watch and ditch the Apple Watch after only one day.

Pros and Cons
Much like all Garmin products, this is a great device. The health tracking, insights, and overall functionality is hard to beat. I love the green color, but there are a few areas Garmin falls down that led me to ultimately return this:1. The watch face is just so large, it felt like having another phone but it’s glued to my wrist. I’d appreciate the same functionality and capabilities on a smaller watch, allowing a better wrist-to-watch ratio.2. No connection with Apple. I understand this is more of an activity and health watch opposed to Apple which is more smart and communication, but if Garmin can connect to Samsung, Apple would be nice too.3. Connection to the IQ app was spotty and I had issues synching the watch and the app pretty frequently.4. Some of the design and UX elements felt like it took a step back from some of their other wearables (like the vivoactive 5). Anytime I scrolled on any menu, the closets button would be selected and freeze (almost like on an iPhone when you select and hold an app).

Great product overall.
- around 10d battery life.- very accurate tracking (sleep, steps, GPS, energy level, O2..etc)- very light, I barely feel it on my wrist.

Stay away if you plan on using this for golf. Otherwise, it's fine.
I use this with the Garmin Golf app a lot, and after a few weeks started having issues (my watch is less than 2 months old). The "AutoShot" feature stopped working entirely. This is a cool feature that keeps track of your shots automatically, tracking them on the Garmin Golf app. During a round, the watch will randomly switch holes, and post-round there are no shots recorded. The watch also frequently disconnects from my phone, and many times when starting a round I get a message that I need to connect it (even though bluetooth is on). I've had to several times re-install my watch with my phone, just like when I took it out of the package. If you're planning on using this for golf, go somewhere else. Maybe Garmin failed to test this with the golf app before releasing? I've reached out to Garmin for support but have not received any response. For normal smartwatch features, this is a nice watch. I had the VivoActive 4 for several years with no problems, but switched to the 6 because I wanted the latest features and a bright display.
