received 30 seeds planted them temps were 80 degrees after 3 weeks not 1 seed germanated. I can understand some not germinating but not having any is unheard of. will not buy from this seller again.

Planted these indoors in a controlled setting. Germinated within five days. In counting them, it looks like about 80% germinated. That's about what I expected.I plan to update this come harvest time.10/04/13: here's the promised update.The beans came in great. They're really large. I'd purchased both Fordhook and these. These are anywhere from 60 to 100% bigger. That said, the Fordhook are a little sweeter when eaten raw. I generally don't eat too many raw, so that's not a real problem with these.Also, the Fordhook became susceptible to some disease that looks like rust (like you see on mallows and hibiscus when untreated) while these didn't show any issues.Harvesting is easy since you can spot the lumpy, ripe seedpods even when you're standing up. Just reach down, grab the bean pod and give it a tug and twist.My only regrets with these are that I didn't buy/plant more and that I planted about six weeks later than normal.I'm ordering twice as many packs next season and starting them much sooner.

Most of the seeds did not germinate. I am an old gardener, so I am familiar with proper planting procedures, so I fear it was poor seed quality.

I'm picking and eating the beans this month.

I used these bean for a science project my son had. They worked perfectly! Quick delivery too!
