My dog loves this food! I'll tell you a few things I like about too. My German Shepherd is allergic to chicken. Gives him a nasty, raw, red rash on his belly. An unfortunate allergy, especially since chicken or chicken byproducts are often added to many dog foods as a source of protein. I'm a label reader for that reason. I'm pleased that this food does not contain any chicken byproducts. The difference in my dog's skin and coat is definitely due to the reduced allergens. Way less licking, scratching, redness or hot spots. He's more at peace when he's not itching, and that makes us both happy. You know, it probably is a little shinier too. The bag of dog food I received today was surprisingly fresh. My dog was sniffing the air and so excited for me to put a scoop in his bowl. Sometimes he likes when I add a cup or so of hot water to it to make a little gravy. He'll wait for me to add it if he's feeling that. Today, he scarfed that food down dry. Zero hesitation. The price of this dog food is reasonable especially considering the good quality, chicken byproducts free ingredients. I tend to shop a couple other brands at the $1.60-$1.70 lb price point and love when I catch this one on sale. We've tried the lamb one too, but it's quite smelly. We fill up a big dog food tote and scoop out of it at meal time. You can always tell when the lid is open with the lamb one. Ha! I will still buy it if its the one on sale, because it is also a good quality dog food without chicken. Can't be too picky. But I prefer the salmon skin and coat recipe. I will buy it again and do recommend, especially if your dog has food allergies. This is a good dog food usually at a fair price.

This dog food really is top tier. One of our dogs has a chicken allergy and it was really hard to find a dog food that didn’t have any chicken products for a reasonable price. Our dog was itching him self till he was bleeding, and the medication only helped so much. But after switching to this dog food, he rarely ever scratches. We have been buying this food for a few months, and don’t think we are ever going back. It has great ingredients, and the dogs really like it.

My dog had been eating Iams since we adopted him. Recently he had been taking his sweet time eating and letting his food sit around. He also has developed some lumps and bumps abd gotten kinda slow. After reading various reviews and trying other products I figured I had nothing to lose by trying a different food. My dog LOVES this stuff. He wrecks the bowl now and his energy is way better than it was. No digestive issues after switching foods which was a concern. 100% recommend.

My dogs love this food and it is high quality; however do t expect Prime delivery to come through for you. I have not received this product on time from Amazon for more than 2 months and have had to run out and buy something right before the stores close on me. I want to be very clear: Diamond products are the bees knees but I wouldn’t waste your money on Prime delivery anymore. I am not sure if it is the contract drivers who are supposed to be providing this delivery or not but just since the first of the year we have started having problems and my dog food is the one product I actually need to have arrive on time!! probably best to look for it in store, but the food it’s self is worth it.

Diamond Naturals competes with most of the other so called " Holistic" dog foods out there on the market. However, If you're looking to buy a high protein fish based dog food for your beloved fur baby, Diamond Naturals is probably not your best choice. Granted it's impressive that the products main ingredients are Salmon and Fish meal. I like that there's no chicken meal or chicken fat added. Who needs that? However there's lower grade Pea protein added to hike the product's already mediocre 25% minimum protein level rating. Sadly, the product simply falls short of the standard 32 - 34% higher protein range offered in many other better choice Fish Grain Free dog food products out there. Undeniably Diamond Naturals taken at face value is truly offered here at a Great Price. It's really nice though to see a GRAIN FREE Salmon dog food product sold which is just that --- ALL FISH. Impressive indeed. Blue Buffalo at a considerably much higher price still includes chicken meal. Impressive also are the probiotic numbers 80 million CFU which assist your dog's digestive system with less allergic reactions. IF YOUR DOG HAS A SENSITIVE STOMACH? This is the highest number available for any commercially made dog food I could find out there on the market. I've been told the higher probiotic numbers in this brand also prevents less ear infections . Anyone have a dog like me with skin issues ? Happily the Omega Fatty Acid levels in Diamond Naturals will also help to promote your dog's healthy skin and coat. (SEE PIC) This means less hot spots on your dog. Offering just White Potato instead of Sweet Potato though stands out as a MAJOR disappointment. My dog doesn't have an allergic reaction to potato but many dogs do. . However, where the product primarily falters Big Time is in the area of Smell and Taste. Where's the FISH? Wag smells like Fish , American Journey smells like Fish, all of which are sold in the same overall price range as Diamond Naturals. Why then Diamond Naturals doesn't smell like really ANYTHING AT ALL is for me mind boggling. The first picture is that of Wag Salmon and the second picture is that of Diamond Naturals. Just look at the color difference as well. The darker color granule resonates with a stronger smell of fish. (SEE PICS). My dog like many can be a picky eater. Fortunately when mixed with other dog food my pet will still eagerly gobble Diamond Naturals up. It's a quality ingredient product and I realize the discussion topic of smell and taste is truly subjective. However, you would think the manufacturer would have spent just a little more time on making it smell and taste a more appealing. The stronger the fish smell the better my dog likes it. Thank you for having a more natural option for my dog. She is unable to eat food with any kind of beef or chicken products and this line offers her a great affordable option! She has a very sensitive skin allergy and this has helped us manage that. She doesn't get any stomach issues and the size of the bites are perfect for her small 40lb stature. She likes the taste and doesn't give us a hard time when feeding her. The bag is super sturdy and it has always shipped great. Product appearance has always been great too. Small bite sizes full of nutrients!

A little pricey but seems good. My dog has sensitive skin and sometimes gets red itchy patches. Its been 2 weeks since he's been on this dog food and he seems to be doing all right. It was'nt difficult to get him to adjust to this food either so it must not taste bad to him
