Cute story, easy to read book
Really nice book, loved the storyline and gave a nice insight to life in Japan in a fun way. (I am trying to learn more about Japan for an upcoming trip but do not want to read only guidebooks)

The Convenience Store by the Sea Review
This is a cozy story that focuses on kindness and gratitude. The characters are very realistic while the store manager, Shiba, is idolized because of his beauty and personality. Each chapter focuses on a different character while being connected by the convenience store, Tenderness. Kindness brews through each person as they offer help to those struggling with their own issues. And from this kindness, gratitude and ease develop in return for the help that is received. The descriptions were both lush and soothing from the food, setting, and characterizations. I highly recommend this book, especially to those who enjoyed the Kamogawa Food Detectives series.

Review of Convenience Store by the Sea
Great Read. Reminds me in someway of the central and peripheral characters in Netflix series,”Midnight Diner”.

A feel good read!
So so cute! I loved this and will be rereading it again. It’s written like anime episodes where there are multiple stories happening at the same time. I think this is a first book in a series but the others are not translated or released in the USA yet. Can’t wait for that to be available!

Overly descriptive
Halfway through and despite the stellar recommendations and great reviews, I’m struggling to finish this book. I keep hoping it will pick up both in pace and interest. The characters are mildly entertaining and I get the common thread of the convenience store, but how many ways can you describe an egg sandwich? Yawn.

Amazing!
It's in great condition, got to my home very quickly, but apart from that it's such a beautiful book, it's a great book for summer and spring, just overall happy and bubbly and feels like ur sitting on a beach eating mangoes and sandwiches 🫧
