So far I’m pretty pleased with this cleanser. I ordered it because I’ve been hearing a lot about the importance of maintaining a healthy skin barrier, and this cleanser—with Biotech Plankton, bio-ceramides, and vitamin B3—seemed like a good fit. My skin is sensitive and prone to redness, but this hasn’t caused any irritation. It leaves my face feeling clean and much less oily, though I definitely need to follow it with moisturizer to avoid dryness. While I haven’t noticed any dramatic changes yet, I’m optimistic that it’s helping improve my skin barrier over time. I really appreciate that it cleans deeply without feeling harsh or overly stripping, and the ingredients are promising for long-term skin health. I’ll keep using it to see if the benefits continue to build.

This product comes in a squeeze tube. The cleanser is a white lotion when dispensed and has almost no smell. The cleanser becomes a rich creamy luxurious foam (not bubbly) when rubbed between hands then cleansed on moistened face. It rinses off cleanly and leaves skin fresh, clean, and dewy. Only a small amount is used each time, so the tube should last a long time. Biotherm is owned by L'Oréal.

This is the best face wash I've ever used. I have combination skin with very oily areas and a few dry patches and this has controlled oil and cut down on dry patches. Huge improvement on my skin.

The Biotherm Aquasource Hydra Barrier Cleanser comes in a squeeze bottle, which makes it inconvenient to quickly wash my face because after I wash my hands I have to get my hands dirty again by twisting off the cap and squeezing a pea size amount of cleanser onto the palm of my hand. I can't even close the open bottle yet because my hand already has the cleanser on it. It isn't until after I wash and rinse my face can I finally twist the cap back onto the bottle. A pump would have been a better alternative. The cleanser doesn't have a smell and doesn't do well with water or wet hands. I just rub and massage the cleanser onto my face. There isn't a lot of soap suds. After rinsing the cleanser off, I literally feel like all my facial natural oils have been stripped off. My face feels really squeaky clean and a little dry. My teenage son who has oily skin likes the cleanser and has been using it for 3weeks now. We did not experience any adverse reactions.

I've been using this cleanser once a day at night for the last week. This creamy cleanser turns into a foamy lather once on your face. I splash my face with water then apply since the cream interacts with water to make the foam. The cleanser has a very light scent, not over powering at all. It hasn't seemed to dry out my skin at all. I apply a toner and moisturizer directly after cleansing though. This cleanser is not cheap, but so far I like it.

This is a great facial cleanser. Very gentle on skin and doesn't have any scent. It's very creamy and smooth but still does a great job gently cleaning.

I'm loving this cleanser so far. The formula is very rich and creamy and foams really well. It leaves my skin feeling clean, but not dried out or oily. This is a thick cream as it comes from the tube and it has a fine light creamy lather with water, not a fluffy bubbly lather. It has a nice faint scent as there is added fragrance as the last ingredient. I have sensitive combo skin and I find it a bit too much for mornings, since it can be a little on the stripping side for me. But in the evenings it's effective as part of a double cleanse. Overall it's a perfectly fine cleanser but there's nothing special about it to justify the price in my opinion. The ingredients are "glycerin, water, sodium cocoyl glycinate, glycol distearate, stearic acid, citric acid, niacinamide, hydroxyacetophenone, palmitic acid, caprylyl glycol, carbomer, jojoba seed oil, wheat seed extract, myristic acid, ceramide NP, chlorphenesin, Vitreoscilla Ferment, and fragrance." I don't know which of these are related to the Biotech Plankton it's trying to hype up. I searched about this ingredient and apparently it's "a patented probiotic". The only probiotic I see is the Vitreoscilla Ferment, which comes from the fermentation of the bacterium Vitreoscilla filiformis and is in a lot of other products. I don't know, I'm just confused and it feels like a lot of posturing and branding.

Die Cream-to-Foam-Textur ist super angenehm: Erst cremig, dann verwandelt sich das Produkt in einen feinen Schaum, der die Haut gründlich, aber sehr sanft reinigt. Ich habe empfindliche Haut, aber keine Spannungsgefühle oder Irritationen bemerkt – eher im Gegenteil: Die Haut fühlt sich danach richtig weich und gepflegt an. Besonders positiv finde ich die Inhaltsstoffe: Biotech Plankton, Bio-Ceramide und Vitamin B5 klingen nicht nur gut, sie scheinen meiner Haut wirklich gutzutun. Der Reiniger trocknet nicht aus, sondern hinterlässt ein ausgeglichenes Hautgefühl – kein Vergleich zu manchen aggressiven Schaumreinigern. Ein kleiner Minuspunkt: Der Duft ist relativ intensiv für ein Reinigungsprodukt. Ich mag ihn, aber wer sehr empfindlich auf Parfüm reagiert, sollte das im Hinterkopf behalten. Fazit: Toller Gesichtsreiniger für die tägliche Anwendung mit echtem Pflegebonus. Ein Stern Abzug für den Duft – sonst hätte es volle Punktzahl gegeben!
