Simple and very effective! Used this for a few indoor and outdoor shoots to add fill or even as a main light. This is a must buy!

This inflatable light is a game changer if you’re looking to save time on setup and some space. Compared to using a light with a softbox, you’re using so much less space, and the setup time is relatively quick. For setup, all you do is inflate the light and mount none of the spokes or additional cages to set that you have with a softbox. I found this light useful with small product photography, and portraits. With the faster setup time, I’m generally grabbing this light more often for my quick, smaller setups.Although this is a pretty cool light, I did have some hiccups. My first issue is that the USB-C cable used to power this is short, so I had to pull my power brick closer to the light or use a separate USB-C cable that would fit. Next, the power brick that needs to be used is 65W, so I’m not able to use the random small power bricks that I have, but I had to use my laptop brick. Lastly, the dial controls were initially confusing and may take a bit to get used to. Even with these minor inconveniences, I still like using this light for the quick setup and breakdowns, and it’s good for most of the small projects I do.

The media could not be loaded. Inflatable Lighting! I’ve never used anything like this before and prior to using it, was a little skeptical about the concept. Having used it for a few weeks, I’m impressed! Ulanzi has done their homework on this one and has packed a number of nice features into this light. All components are well-constructed including the tough nylon materials, large Velcro attachment strips, metal bracket and support handle, USB-C cable and storage sack.Basically, the light is a thick vinyl inflatable bag with strips of LED lights and nylon material attached by Velcro to the outside. A small rechargeable electric internal pump inflates the bag rapidly in only about 10-15 seconds. The light bag is then attached by Velcro to a sturdy metal bracket that connects to an angle adjustable grip. Embedded in the grip handle is a remote that controls the operation of the light.Important: The Ulanzi App is NOT required to operate the light! I had no problem operating the light and charging light settings using the included remote control that stores right in the handle.Optionally, I can download and use the "Ulanzi Connect" app on my smartphone. Power for the light must be supplied using an appropriately sized battery pack or using a USB-C cord attached to a charger. No power supply or battery is included with the light.Here are my Pros: -Portability and the ability to create a large bright light from a small package-Portability is achieved when used with an appropriately sized battery, (not supplied). A battery strap and mount are included in the set.-Features 10 preprogrammed FX effects including lightning, candle, strobe & emergency which work well.-Light output color can be adjusted from 2500K to 6500K and dimmed from 0-100%-Light is controlled using a removable remote built into the handle or optionally downloading the “Ulanzi Connect” app. I haven't downloaded the app yet as the remote worked fine after changing the language from Chinese to English.-Weight is under 2 pounds. Inflated size is ~ 22” x 10”-Features a power internal inflation pump that pumps the light bag to full in just a few seconds.-Pump and remote both utilize rechargeable batteries.-Comes with a sufficiently sized power cable rated to handle the extra power needed to operate the light.Cons: -Although there is a 1/4-20 threaded sleeve on the side of the grip, there is no tripod screw mount on the bottom. The light is designed to be hand supported or attached to a light stand but not a tripod.-Battery is not included. Directions suggest using a power supply/charger that supports PD fast charging protocol 100W, 20V-5A. The light will not work with small power banks/low power chargersUnknown: The durability of the inflatable bag remains an unknown. It certainly appears durable but the vinyl bag is susceptible to puncture from a sharp object. Also, the light is designed to be rolled up and it’s unclear how well the light strips and wires will fare with repeated bending/flexing and folding.Bottom Line: Unique foldable, compact inflatable light that provides a diffused output and is plenty bright for portraiture and general product photography. Though it’s portable, it can't be mounted on a tripod as shipped so when out of the studio, make sure to bring standard light poles for mounting. Requires 100W rated PD charger output or sufficient rated external battery for power. Use the supplied high wattage USB-C cable for the power input as smaller cables could be damaged or might not work. I’m happy with the output and function of the light but durability remains an unknown.

I picked up the Ulanzi AL60 Inflatable Tube Light as they're pioneers in the photo/video world with the majority of their products. So, when I saw this light tube I was excited to use on the go with photo and video shoots. I love how portable the light is without needing to bring light panels in bigger cases out with me but...Before I get to the but...in the box, you receive the inflatable light, bracket, power mount with detachable remote, 1/4" mount, strap for attaching a batter pack, USB-A to USB-C cable, USB-C cable, large black pouch, and an instruction manual.For the price you pay, in order to use the light you've purchased you MUST download and use the Ulanzi Connect App - something the instruction manual does NOT state at all. In order for you to even turn on the light you must first connect via Bluetooth to your phone and ONLY through the app. The trouble with this is once paired, the first time it connects it works well. However, when you need to use the light later on it took me over 8 minutes of trying to re-connect via BT through the app and remote of the light before I decided to delete the light from the app and just add it as a new connection! After another two minutes it finally found the light and I was able to use it again. WHY MUST I USE THE APP WHEN THE REMOTE SHOULD BE ENOUGH!? To have the Bluetooth function as an addition to it opposed to a MUST USE in order to operate the light should be the how it's done. Having to use the Bluetooth in order to operate a light is absolutely ridiculous - especially when you're asking for over $100 and in this case, $149 MSRP!I love to ease of storage and the portability but loath the Bluetooth requirement to operate it.Additionally - every one includes BLACK pouches - Ulanzi, your color is RED, if you make the carry cases RED or have RED on them it'd be easier for me to tell where your products are on my shelves without having to find a way to label each bag or product that's in a soft bag over a hard-case.Overall, if you need a good portable LED soft box light, I'm hard pressed to recommend this light over one that does NOT require the use of their app for just basic use of the light, especially with how difficult it was to connect via BT to the light in the first place. If it were easy operation, then maybe I'd recommend it, but because it's a pain in the behind when it already comes with a remote - why even require Bluetooth?
