Kalorik Digital Smart Air Fryer, FT 42174 W, Healthy Cooking Dual Layer Rack, White

My husband and I bought an air fryer years ago when they first came out, and boy that thing was HUGE and clunky and just NOT economical with just the two of us, so when the air fryer craze really geared up, we basically said never again, and held out for the longest. Then we were over at my sister's house and saw/used hers for family dinner night, and thought we would give it another shot, and ohmygosh! we shouldn't have waited so long! We purchased this air fryer a year and a half ago, and LOVE it!! It is easy to clean, cooks beautifully, and hardly takes up any room at all on our countertop, so we do not have to constantly move it - it has it's own spot and isn't heavy, so moving it away from the wall before using is a cinch. My husband and I are not home often, so I haven't had the time to make tons of things in it, but for us, it is there when we need it, and I am going to really make an effort to make more than just mozzarella sticks and jalapeno poppers on the fly soon! I do know that there were no air fryer instructions on the food boxes, so we set the temp/cooking time to the suggested conventional oven temp/time on the boxes, and watch it. You can open it mid cooking to check on your food, and then once closing it, it starts right back up with no issues. I am so very glad we decided to try another air fryer, and for the money, the Kalorik is totally worth it!

I purchased another air fryer about 6 months ago and did not keep it. After reading the instructions I found that it required oil and was not easy to clean. I returned it to where I purchased it and was not looking to buy another. A friend recently bought an air fryer of a different brand and was raving about it so I decided to give one another try. Went on the Amazon site and searched for those with highest rating and came across the Kalorik. I am glad I bought it. Though I have only used it twice I am very pleased with it. Chicken thighs came out moist and tender, and were just as moist and tender when I reheated the left overs. I tried French fries and need some practice with those. Even though I followed the directions on the fryer some burned and left a very acrid odor in the kitchen. The small cookbook that came with the fryer seems to contradict some of the heating times and temps on the fryer's time/temp panel. I have ordered a 'cheat sheet' and an Air Fryer for Beginners cookbook on Amazon. Based on the first two uses I think this will be a very useful and valuable appliance.

the air fryer was a pleasant addition to our kitchen. Item is very easy to use and the results were great. Love this item!

I've had this fryer for about 7 months. I use it nearly every day and it works for most of the things I like to eat but is much healthier than pan frying. It was really good but died today. I got it on sale from A big box store and can't return it. My advice is to buy from Amazon and buy the protection plan for 4 or 5 bucks.I am going to purchase the Gowise which I think is built by the same manufacturer and branded different.I advise getting a larger fryer. The results seem to be better with more air space around the food.
