Advanced Energy Meal Replacement Shake, High Protein, Caramel Latte, 165 Fl Oz

I've recently discovered SLIMFAST and have tried these flavors: Cappuccino Delight, Caramel Latte, Bananas & Cream, Creamy (Milk) Chocolate, Strawberries & Cream, and French Vanilla. Caramel Latte is my favorite flavor. While CARAMEL LATTE is my FAVORITE FLAVOR of those I've tried, it's my LEAST FAVORITE when it comes to OPENING THE BOTTLE! All other flavors open with similar reasonable effort, but CARAMEL LATTE requires me to use a wrench in order to remove the top! I'm no 90 lb weakling, but without the help of my favorite WRENCH, I'd never be able to open my Caramel Latte bottles! Is this a result of the bottling machines being set incorrectly? Are all SLIMFAST ADVANCED ENERGY flavors too hard to open by hand? I don't know, as the Caramel Latte is the only ADVANCED ENERGY (with caffeine) flavor I've tried. Using only my wrench to open these bottles is an improvement over my first attempts, where I had to carefully secure each bottle in a VICE before I could successfully open it with a wrench. When taken from the refrigerator, each bottle is coated with condensation. If not blotted off, the condensation makes it impossible for me to get a good enough grip on the bottle in order to twist the cap off. While my vice has removable rubber pads on the jaws, it took much concentration for me to avoid splitting the bottle by over-tightened the vice. Once sufficiently tightened, I had to support the mounted bottle with my other hand to keep it straight so it didn't rotate when I applied counter-clockwise pressure from the wrench to open it. This VICE-WRENCH procedure became too much of a project for me, so I wiped off every bit of condensation and gripped each Caramel Latte bottle with my knees, added support with one hand, and twisted the wrench to open it. I learned that twisting the wrench quickly is more likely to break the cap-to-bottle seal than if I use the wrench in a normal manner and apply increasing counter-clockwise pressure until the seal is broken. I've been through 3 cartons of 15 bottles of the Caramel Latte and each of these 45 bottles has required a wrench to open. NONE of the other flavors is difficult to open. These 3 cartons of Caramel Latte were purchased at the same time, so I don't know if SLIMFAST has changed the setting on its bottling machines. I hope they have, but I'll still keep my wrench handy, just in case. PS: RE: CARAMEL LATTE: This flavor reminds me of the Coffee Ice cream sodas I used to enjoy as a child. I'm not using SLIMFAST as a diet aid, but when I drink a bottle between meals, it's much easier for me to wait until mealtime to eat instead of snacking continually to keep the hunger pangs away. Whenever I drink a bottle of Caramel Latte, I think of the weight problems I'm avoiding if I had a coffee ice cream soda instead of this SLIMFAST substitute. I give SLIMFAST a 5- STAR RATING because it does what it says it does. SLIMFAST makes NO CLAIMS as to the ease or difficulty of opening its bottles. I gave SLIMFAST CARAMEL LATTE 5-stars for each of the three listed features (Flavor, Value for money, and Easy to hold). I would rate a fourth feature, "Ease of opening" 1-star if that feature was added to the list.

I've been drinking the slimfast shakes for a couple weeks now and they do a great job of curbing your appetite. I suggest tracking your calories though because you'll never lose weight if you're taking in more calories than you're burning throughout the day. That's very easy to do if half you're daily calories are coming from shakes. I love this particular flavor. It doesn't taste "fake" to me. However, as some other reviews have mentioned, yes, it does make your urine smell. It might be a little unsettling once you start to associate the smell of the shake with pee. If you're really that worried about it, just carry a little bottle of poopourri with you.

From other reviews here, this flavor seems a mixed bag for folks. caramel Latte is my favorite flavor in this Series. Yes, sweet and tastable flavor. I love it. The other flavors are good, but light on flavor and with just a wee less hint of sweet. For me, this flavor, portion, thickness, and sweetness lever are very good. 4 net carbs for this one makes it double+ the carbs in other flavors - something to keep in mind. Still considered low carb-low glycemic - this is my go to morning replacement meal.

I am a HUGE fan of these new Slimfast drinks. In my opinion, they taste just like a fancy Starbucks drink! They really do keep me full for 4 hours and give me energy. I drink these for breakfast and lunch and have a reasonable dinner and have lost almost 10 lbs in 2 weeks. Little to no exercise. I have no weird side effects other than I do use the bathroom (#2) a little more than I used to, but it doesn't bother me. I love these and they have only 1g of sugar!!

Warning TMI: I drink one of these in the morning, it satisfies my hunger for hours. The flavor is great! Here it goes..... However, after drinking it my urine smells like strong coffee the rest of the day! Not just any coffee but just like like I popped one of these open. I don’t know if I can drink them anymore because of what I associate the smell with. I’ve never had Slim Fast do this before.

The taste is great compared to most other dull replacement drinks. I drank it halfway just to see how it would affect me (my stomach). It was the weekend so I had errands/cleaning to do. After about an hour I realized I wanted to get alot done and my energy didn't end until later that evening. Not sure if it's because my body was sensitive to the ingredients or I didn't really feel like eating much the rest of the day, but man I was just go go go. I recommend this to those who really need the pickup, especially at work when it's a drag.

I have tried quite a handful of shake products and have had quite the ride. Most of them leave me embarrassingly gassy and is something I can't believe I even wrote down in a review. But it's true. The whole line of Slimfast Advanced products work very well for me. Not only do I not have the above problem, but believe it or not, once I am on it a couple of days and the cravings have went away, I can easily survive only eating 4 of these a day, 4hrs a part from each other without wanting to eat everything in site. I have tried the smooth chocolate ones and they are nice too. But the caramel latte not only has a better taste to me, and I'm not a coffee drinker, but it also has caffeine in it that helps me get through the day. They are thicker than the generic protein shakes you can get at Samsclub. I have to remind my family it is not a desert and not something for dipping cookies in because it is so good. I'm very happy we have found this product and would recommend it out to everyone.

Totsay the least we're in quarantine so I am definitely trying to watch what I eat. I figured I'd give this a try. What I love about this is that the sugar is very low. I'm only about a week in but this shake does suppress my appetite. In the beginning I didn't like the taste. It had a diety kind of taste but that's probably why they say refrigerate. It tastes so much better. I have one every morning! This is a real honest review. I'll come back to weigh in.
