I live in Houston, in an old house with no insulation or central air. When I tell you this wonderful item has made a difference, I am not exaggerating! It is quiet, easy to set up, easy to use, and truly adds to the cooling effects of my bedroom air conditioner. In fact, I am able to use it ALONE until the daily heat really ramps up. I am very happy with this product and highly recommend it. My only suggestion would be to enlarge the water capacity, but given the small size of the item, this might not be possible.
