FobusGL3 Standard Holster for Glock 20, 21, 21SF (with std Glock rail), 37, 38, 40, 41 / ISSC M22, Right Hand Paddle

I have several Fobus holsters and have never had a problem with them until Glock 21. Goes in nice and firm but trying to draw is a nightmare. I tried oiling the inside and did the 50 draws holding the holster in one hand and pistol in the other. Did not get loose enough. After putting in my waist band and drawing I tried snatching which caused holster came out with the pistol several times. Thought of trying to put it in boiling water, hair dryer or the microwave to get the holster to spread a little so I can use it with confidence.Next DayI heated the holster one time with a hair dryer for about 2 minutes and placed the pistol in it. The draw was just snug enough and secure but easy to draw, did not need two hands and the holster never moved------PERFECT. "Right Hand Holster" look inside the holster where the "Trigger Guard" is gripped by the holster. The outside away from the body has a deeper indention that the inside (closest to the body) indention. I used a 1500 watt hair dryer and placed it close to the "INSIDE " indention. I heated both the inside and outside of that "Inside" indention area for two minutes. Taking a clean dry washcloth I reached inside the holster with my hand and pressed hard against the "Inside" indention pushing it towards my body. I then placed my pistol in the holster and did some test draws. It was perfect. I removed the pistol and placed the holster under cold running water to set and cure the Kydex. After drying the holster I tested it again with my pistol and it was exactly what I wanted.Fobus------------ Why didn't you mention this fix after so many complaints of this one certain holster??????????????

I wanted a non-leather paddle holster for my Gen 4 Glock 21. For those that are new to this, a paddle holster allows you to easily insert and remove the gun/holster. A paddle slides in on the inside of your pants. The paddle has a lip that fits under your belt on the inside and helps with retention of the holster.This Fobus holster uses passive retention to hold the gun. The gun snaps securely into the holster. The gun is removed by quickly drawing the gun in the direction of the forward cant (angle) of the holster. At first I was very disappointed as the gun could not be removed without using two hands, one to hold the holster. I read some information on the Fobus website and they recommended to slightly lubricate the holster. As recommended I used a silicone cloth to wipe the inside of the holster. The draw is now smooth and yet it still has excellent retention of the gun. You can shake it upside down and it won't come loose.It has the recommended forward cant which would prevent someone from drawing the gun from your rear.I really like the holster. It is comfortable to wear and easy to put on and off. I highly recommend it.

This holster is a great bang for your buck. It is comfortable to wear and fits my Glock G40 10mm perfectly. I did not have the problems others have mentioned about the pistol fitting too tight. I did not have to take any extra steps to make my pistol fit.

I have carried the same Fobus paddle back holster, daily, for the past 20 years. This is my second Fobus for a new Glock. It has a Lifetime warranty. They are secure, yet easy to put on and take off. Good retention, yet fast to draw. Has never failed!

I have a different model for my G19. I picked this one up for my G20SF.Works the same. Only exception was the release was extremely tight. Like pull my pants up around my neck tight. These don't seem to have any adjustments, which wasn't a big deal. But what I wound up doing was taking an electric heat-gun to it and carefully warming the plastic up above the softening point. Now the draw is much more reasonable.You could very likely do the same modification with a hairdryer. That said, good cheap holster for hiking.

It fits my Glock 21 securely, if fits me perfectly. It is great for the range and open carry, hell I just wear it around the house. If you are new to holster please do research before any purchase as I have a wall of holsters failed and good, but for the size and weight of this firearm this holster is winner. Good luck an be safe. I can't speak to longevity as it it relatively new to me but here is hoping I never have revise my review.

. The paddle does not grip my belt line very well. More often than not, the entire holster came up with firearm. Test yours (UNLOADED) a couple times. I just drilled out the pop rivets and attached a belt loop instead. So, again the Kydex fits the firearm great! This could be a super product. There are other brands that grab the waist better. That's the trouble buying "on line", you just can't touch the product first. Later added- the Kydex is just too tight with no adjustment for tension. I've put way too much work to make "usable". Maybe search for something else from the start.
