NIV, Artisan Collection Bible, Cloth over Board, Pink Floral, Designed Edges under Gilding, Red Letter, Comfort Print

My goal was to find and gift a study Bible to my fiancé. This was everything I could’ve hoped for. She absolutely loves it! There are margins for her to take notes, the print and artwork are elegant (the pictures don’t really do this justice in that regard, it is stunning), and it is written in clear / intelligible text for her to be able to delve deeper into her spiritual journey.

With a capital G. 😱 Honestly I am in love with it.The fabric cover is a good, but not high end quality. I am a retired designer and specialized in book design for a decade, so my nitpicking should be taken with a grain of salt. A normal human wouldn't know the difference.😂The poly blend fabric choice is a good bridge between cost and durability and modern color printing... but in terms of it being resistant against tears or scratches like a true linen book would from a hundred years ago. ( Or surviving accidental hard drops intact) No. Not likely.It's going to get bent and ding at some point if not taken care of... but they don't make books like they used to any more so that's to be expected. The cover is solid and won't bend on you but not dense enough to take a hard hit like your old text books could. So it'll buckle. You can buy metal book corners and that'll help prevent damage.That doesn't bother me at all, as this is most likely not an heirloom book but my personal art journal Bible before bedtime.My suggestion, get a bible case with some padding if it's travelling with you. It's worth protecting it. I found a few photographers hard shell cases and cosmetic bags with thick padding... so I may try using those or something with foam surrounding it when I go abroad. But in the meantime I'm looking for a gel fabric, leather or vinyl padfolio type cover, because, it's going to be used mainly in my home office. May even make one myself.I read about using a diaper bag or knitting bag so those may be options too since I'm starting a daily study plan soon.I intend to add notes and illustrations, maybe even vinyl stickers I make myself in the future, keeping that in mind, this paper is thin so, little room for mistakes and risk of ripping....I hope the binding stays in tact and doesn'twarp much due to thickness of my antics because it's a beautiful cover and I want it to last for many years.The edges were perfect. No errors. Gold leaf was found between pages which is normal. I loved that the pages separated easily upon flipping the first time, and there were no stuck areas or rips and tears -which can happen- but didn't.The paper quality is very thin but I would say excellent quality for that weight. The paper is smooth, little tooth which means your pen will glide across easily. It also means bleeding won't be terrible but because it's so thin but you may need to watch smudging or the ink not drying, so take a second to let dry... Be wise in your highlighter and writing choices, pages are thin and it will show through.My suggestion would be a pencil as the best choice but it would definitely take gel pens well if they are true gel and don't soak into the paper and dry quickly. I like the Japanese Samsara fast dry pens, because it's the best of both worlds, and I'm a clutz when it comes to smudging pages since I write fast.In terms of content. Great layout but I haven't gone through yet to see if there is any scripture missing yet. Great legibility, but the spacing could be a smidge more for easier scanning for finding specific passages.I can't wait to get tabs and get started. Found some nice ones on Etsy.My last bible I had since age 8. It's be through war and it was time to retire it. This bible is a lovely choice and I am thrilled to expand my studies after pausing all things religion for many years. This is the welcome back I needed.If you have doubts, get it, you'll realize it was worth it. ❤️ And there is a return policy for a reason but I'm telling you now, you won't use it if it's nice a condition as this one.Update: I'm flabbergasted that the she reads truth was in subpar quality and conditions with the reputation it had. I ordered a soft cover with the thought of returning the damaged hardcover only to realize the second one was water damaged and gold stuck together so bad pages risked ripping. The paper quality is even thinner than this one, definitely surprising how much it's ghosting, not an issue here. I love the quality of this bible and it's so easy to read and flip through, decided to use the hardcover she reads truth bible as a journal Bible instead and keep this one prestine. That's how much I love it!! Zero regrets with Zondavan's quality and attention to detail. 🥰

What a lovely Bible this is! Overall, it is visually beautiful and feels comfortable and heavy in the hands. Its style, look, and feel are ageless yet vintage. The Bible is perfectly encircled by a subdued soft pink cloth cover with warm-toned earthy flowers, copper calligraphy, and gold-edged pages. Soft copper text reads, "God is within her, she will not fall," from Psalm 46:5 NIV on the front and back covers. Soft cream-colored inside pages with subdued purple flowers embedded in the gold border surrounding the page ends.A higher font size for better legibility and thoughtful spacing throughout the layout make it easy to read. The pages are light and silky but sufficient in terms of paper quality. Additionally, I absolutely appreciate that there is plenty of space on the sides for journaling or writing notes!There are also two ribbon bookmarks attached: a deep reddish-mauve and a light pink bookmark. Ribbon bookmarks are helpful for maintaining your page and for tab-separating pages. That being said, I tabbed my Bible incorrectly a few times and had to carefully rip off a tab or two to get the alignment right. I was impressed with the quality of the pages since they held up well to my gentle tugging off and repositioning without breaking.This Bible has profoundly inspired and encouraged me, knowing that those who honor God are kept protected by His strength. I highly recommend this Bible!

The media could not be loaded. this Bible came super fast now super surprised with how quick the shipping was. This Bible has beautiful details on the front and back and the pages which I think is so cool. This is also a hardcover Bible so it is very sturdy.

I love this Bible so much. It’s sooooo pretty, and makes you want to pick it up and read it. The space for note taking is so amazing.

Guys! I was so choosy about which bible to get but im so glad i went with this one. The bible itself feels nice. The gold pages are beautiful as well as the revealing flowers when opened. The pages are on the thinner side but thick enough that they dont stick down together if that makes sense, you can still flip pages comfortably. I tested out for you guys pen and highlighter, just pen, and just highlighter so you can see for yourself how it looks. Maybe the midliners are too strong? but it does show a bit through but I dont think i will mind much. further, I got these adorable tabs on amazon also and I messed up sticking one and I was able to take the tab off and the page wasnt damaged so it it “sturdy enough” being bible paper. Love that it has 2 bookmarks also and the easy read yellowed pages which i put a white sheet on top so you can see the difference. I attached images of all sorts so hopefully it helps you! So excited to annotate and write notes, the notes aspect was super crucial for me. Overall just very happy!!
