Review: My senior dog (12 yr female GSD mix) recently decided she will no longer eat fresh food or just kibble and since she has food allergies she left me scrambling to find any food to feed her. I mistakenly thought she eat when she got hungry but nope. Then I found Vital’s freeze dried raw duck and she eats it with gusto, which is the highest praise I can offer. It does not bother her tender tummy either. Review: My pup loves these treats. They seem to have a crispy texture, so the texture is fun and desirable for him. We also appreciate the limited ingredients because he is still growing and has a VERY sensitive tummy. We've struggled with giving anything outside of his regular food causing diarrhea, so training has been extremely difficult and disheartening since we haven't been able to give him any treats (We tried training with pieces of his kibble, but it takes too long to chew to be effective as a reward). These treats offer the same protein as his regular kibble which allows him to get treats for training now :) They also work really well as high prize training treats and work wonderfully for his crate training for when we leave the house. A small handful in his crate after "let's go crate" makes him associate his crate/nap time with positive things, and we no longer get protesting from him when it's time for crate. He happily goes in to claim his 'prize'. We'll definitely continue to purchase these.

I ordered the salmon, rabbit and duck treats. I really appreciate the ingredients and the pups really like them, I will be ordering them again. The rabbit is the best of the three but it is also the most expensive. It had the least odor and is not greasy. The duck treats are a bit oily (I mean, ducks are fatty) so carry some wet wipes when you use them. The salmon is a huge hit with the pups. Keep in mind that they do have a strong fish smell.

My dogs love these. Although the size doesn’t sound like much, there are a lot of duck bites in a bag. Our pet dog is picky with his meals and likes having a treat in it, and my guide dog isn’t picky but I add a couple anyway. I usually add a couple of these to each meal as a treat, and sometimes use them as a treat as well. The bags last a while since the bites aren’t overly large, but they are large enough that both 50 pound bags are happy with them. I will add that although not purchased for our cat, our 16 year old cat loves them too and comes running when I open the bag. Overall, great product and I will continue to buy these.

My dog will do anything for her duckies, and I don't feel like I am giving her junk.
