I live in a barndo. with metal roofing and siding, down in a geographic low spot and equidistant from my carriers towers in every direction. Basically worst case outside of an abandoned island.Standing outside you are lucky to have 1 bar and struggle to send a 1 word sms. Standing inside, ha, dont bother.Not exaggerating, I just unboxed it and put it in the window pointed up sandwiched between the window and screen on the second floor for testing (you're supposed to aim it in a towers direction) It made all the difference in the world. Went from essentially off grid to getting a totally decent 3g/4g phone experience without any hiccups.Id assume a proper roof mounting solution would only yield even better results. Definitely would by again.

A pro would do it with a spectrum analyzer, you're lucky if you can find one.
