Trying to be a wise consumer, I read every single review for this product. I must admit that there was only one factor that had me on the ropes, that did not fully convince me. I didn't feel comfortable with people describing this scent as "unisex." It made me think that the cologne would smell flowery, even subtly feminine and I did not want that at all.I love scents that smell clean and fresh. Cologne has a powerful way of influencing the mood of the wearer. When you spray after taking a good, cool shower, you feel fresh, revitalized, even just born into this amazing world. Your feeling good raises your frequency, you are in a good mood. People catch that and your cent and mood extend these gifts to them.Anyway, because the "unisex" comments were few, and the history of this product seemed solid, I took the plunge. I am SO GLAD I DID! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! I can totally understand why many reviewers stated that they wear it everyday! It is not overpowering at all. It has a very smooth, clean, pure scent. Almost like something that Nature herself could have concocted. It isn't a scent that would ever give you a headache, or make anyone sitting next to you, uncomfortable.I even loved how it is packaged! Very unique, different than all other colognes. I love this scent so much that I now want to purchase the soap, aftershave, and even the talcum powder! I am definitely going to keep purchasing this product throughout the remainder of my life. It now makes perfect sense why it has never totally gone off the marker. A definite, TIMELESS masterpiece!One reviewer said that this was a safe blind purchase. I don't fully agree. I can't really imagine a teenager who is at the dance-club, strip-club phase appreciating this olfactory work of art. This is a scent for a well-refined individual who has gained much wisdom throughout the years. Who has come to know what is good and to appreciate it. Who absolutely LOVES beauty in ALL her breathtaking forms.Anyway, this is my testimony and I am sticking to it! Enjoy, my friend!

I originally thought this was fake. I thought I was comparing it to a sample I got directly from Aqua di Parma, but that sample turned out to be of Colonia Pura (the teeny tiny bottle was so small I could not see the "Pura" on the itsy weeny label). So they were different and since I knew the sample was authentic, this had to be a fake, not so. It is absolutely authentic and so fresh and clean. I got hold of an authentic bottle and it is exactly the same all through the base notes. So no worries there. This is a very fresh clean scent that in the mid notes turns spicey-leather and more masculine from the opening pure and glorious citrus. It then settles in the base notes to musk sandalwood, maintaining that note of masculinity. I don't consider it unisex at all. Some people might get confused because its a little sweet, soapy, clean with some powder scent in the mid notes. But it is definitely masculine in nature. Light but certainly not feminine. I highly recommend it. It is my signature scent. It's tried and true for over a century. Gets their attention subtly, unlike the overpowering sporty/club scents gentlemen fall for these days. That just telegraphs four miles down the road that you are trying to hide your sweat. This Aqua di Parma instead tells them you're clean and fresh all day. It lasts about 6 hours on me. The base note lasts the longest and is the best. Don't go anywhere for the first 15 minutes because you will smell like a lemon grove. :)

HORRIBLE SCENT and NOT returnable!!!

I read an online review that this was a popular cologne back in the Golden Era of Hollywood and that it was very masculine and very clean, but that women used to wear it as well. Bought a sample from Lucky Scent and loved it. Reminded me of summers with my grandparents, but not in an old-person way.It smells like lemon soap and musk, and if you're on the fence, that's about all you need to know. There was a time when I was concerned about the item being genuine or not but Check Fresh shows that the most recent purchase (sold and shipped by Amazon) has this as an authentic bottle from 8 months ago. That's well within the reasonable age of this being a "new" item. To assuage your fears further, I had a bottle of this stuff last over 6 years with no noticeable change in smell.Time and time again I get compliments on this cologne which no one else seems to wear and which lasts all day. Why does this retail for $220 in stores and go for $80 on Amazon? Maybe because no one else seems to go for the old school styles anymore.

Realmente una fragancia de otra época. Evoca una era. Para quien gusta de tener en su colección elementos clásicos es ideal. No sugiero para uso en personas menores a 70 años. Hay que saber que existe y ver como ha evolucionado la casa.
