there is some initial dust with these straw brooms. I take it outside and hit it against the deck rail a a couple minutes before using the first time or else you are going to think it is horrible because of the straw dust , hahaha. but seriously they are great once knocked off. i can't find any metal or plastic made brooms that work as well as these for really catching everything on the floor.

I LOVE IT! And,when my daughter saw mine she insisted on one too! It really works. It's amazing what that it collects so much in a pile!

This is a horrible product. It leaves a brown dust that is visible on the packaging which I chose to ignore in hopes it was just a quick, once and done irritant. No such luck! With every use it leaves more of the fine brown dust in the cracks of my floor. I have tried shaking it outside but that was a huge fail. I love the concept of the broom but the fine brown dust left behind is worse than the crumbs you are trying to sweep up. Very disappointing!

Good item. Much more efficient than a swifter or regular broom. It does shed a little when using it. This is supposed to stop over time, but I've used it everyday for a month and it still sheds small particles.

I was reluctant to buy this, having read a lot of negative reviews about these brooms in general. Many people complained that they arrive with loose bristles or leak sand. Today is November 11, and I received my broom November 4th. I started using it the next day. I LOVE the lightness, and the ease of use. Truly, I bought it after reading about them on a cleaning site, and I wanted to prove them wrong because I have tried so many brooms over the years, and couldn't believe this was that great. But if it would be great, I'd be set. I did notice that it leaves a lot of sand, so you think, "Wow, I thought my house was cleaner, but so glad this broom picks up that dirt my other broom missed!". But at least it also picked up dog and cat hair, crumbs, shoe dirt from those who aren't supposed to wear shoes in the house but do, etc. In reality, there are situations it won't work well with--for example, for light powders like diatomaceous earth or flour--it really doesn't work. But for the day to day cleaning the kitchen floor as I work, it is great. You need to remember that you don't need a firm brushing across the floor--just gentle moves. There are videos that really clarify what is meant by that. However, today, technically one day short of when I started using it, I started losing bristles in little bundles. So in doing my living room, four little bundles/bristles-bound-together-in-bundles fell out. This is concerning as some reviews read that that loosens the others. So if that is the case, I expect this broom to need to be replaced by the end of the month if not earlier. I don't think when I replace it I will stick with this model. I think I will go with a different brand.

I watched a mail salon sweep up powder. It got it in 1 sweep. I have dogs. Hair does not stick to these. Just shape and go. Everybody with pets need these brooms.

Overpriced, found a bigger one at a Chinese market for $5. And every time I use this sand comes outta the bristles, don’t know what that’s about.

Great buy light weight, better than a normal broom, great value for the money, made well and sturdy.
