Huge improvement over plastic
When our state started mandatory separation of food scraps we were given a free large green plastic bucket for the scraps. The plastic bucket spent more time soaking to remove odors than it did holding food scraps. This stainless steel bucket is perfect. It's smaller so we don't waste a huge biodegradable liner bag on a few stinky scraps, has a charcoal double filter to manage the smell and is easy to clean with no lingering odors. I highly recommend it as it brought an almost unmanageable situation under control.

Attractive compost bin for your kitchen counter
Easy to clean and nice enough to sit on kitchen counter, this composite bin holds lots of veggie peelings, etc.No need to empty it till it's full - there's a charcoal liner for the top that totally eliminates smells; and it lasts for months!

Perfect for Beginners
When used properly, this makes for a great beginner’s compost bin. It’s not stinky. The filters make sure that the compost gasses leave the bin, but the odors do not. Just make sure that you replace them as frequently as guided! The bin itself is sturdy & is easy to wash out. The lid does not latch, so if it were to tip over, the contents would fall out. Recommend storing this someplace it won’t get knocked over.

Pretty much perfect
This is exactly what I was hoping for: well-made, just the right size, good looking... The additional filters are a great bonus. Overall, this is a simple and sturdy container that does precisely what you want it to do. Be sure to order gallon-sized bags to use with it, though.

Upgraded replacement for painted steel bin
We bought this compost bin after our six year old painted steel bin rusted through. The design of the two bins are almost identical. The new stainless bin weighs 24% less than the steel bin, showing that a thinner grade of steel was used. This should not be a problem, and we expect long life based on corrosion resistance. It should be noted that the knobs for the handle and lid are not metal at all but are plated plastic and prone to breakage of the pail is dropped. When we took the new bin from the box we found that one of the knobs on the side was loose, something that should have been picked by final inspection.

Fits 1.5 gallon bags! No chance of rusting!
Much like the previous container we had, however, it rusted after a few years. Decided to get 1.5 gallon liners. Fits this container well. No chance of rusting! Looks presentable on counter. Not disappointed! Merry Christmas!

It was a little big, but otherwise is perfect for our compost needs. Tight fitting lid and the filters stay in place without a any problems.

No smell, easy to clean and looks great after months of use
We have been using this for 6 months and are still extremely happy with the purchase. It is super easy to clean, has absolutely no smell (and I cook all my meals at home these days) and looks beautiful on the counter. We use regular compost bags for it and I think it’s a good size for a compost bin. I empty it either every day or every other day but it never smells. We couldn’t be happier with the quality.

My first compost bin with no smell
Upon trying, I did notice there is no smell compared to the plastic ones I had use before. That’s very important. I like the silicone handle. For the price, the item is a package with extra filters. I’m glad I picked this one. Great for the apartment. Composting as much as one can has became more important than ever. Thank you for great customer delivery.

Really does keep the smell down
This compost bin is a great buy. Here's why:- The charcoal filter really does keep smells down- You get several charcoal filters, and they last a fairly long time- It doesn't leak, as advertised- It's big enough to handle a good amount of foodOverall, I don't see any caveats with this one. There are other models that have sharp edges or leak eventually. I'd go with this one.
