Been reading Smith's papers for decades. Nice to have it all compiled into a series of books. I've already devoured the first two and now I'm into this third one. The art and science of the mathematics of signal processing, with an emphasis on audio. Smith has taken the brave new world of audio to a whole other level.I've known about modeling since 1976, but the processors of the day were incapable of modeling for audio. Stick figure simulations is as far as it went. Since the 1990's, that changed, and Julius Smith is one of its main gurus. His books are a must for anyone interested in this area of the audio world.Back in the 1960's, it was tinkerers in garages building audio hardware, now it's people in corner coffee shops tinkering with audio software programs on laptops. Julius Smith's books are one of the starting points for the audio journey.Happy hunting and enjoy the ride and thrill of discovery.
