I purchased this cacao powder after hearing it could help with two things: satiating appetite and potentially lowering arterial plaque scores. I received a surprisingly high plaque score, and this is the only natural option I’ve heard of that might help address it. Appetite Control: While I’m still monitoring whether it’s helping with my plaque score, I can say I really believe it’s satiating my appetite. When I have it first thing in the morning, I feel notably less hungry throughout the day. Taste and Mixing: It has a fabulous chocolate flavor - even though I’m not particularly a chocolate person, I find the taste really good. It’s unsweetened, giving you control over sweetness levels. In Greek yogurt (my usual method), it doesn’t stir in perfectly and takes a bit of mixing. However, my wife puts it in her coffee and reports it’s delicious - it stirs and mixes with warm liquids very well. In fact, she just added another bag to our Amazon cart! Caffeine Sensitivity: I’m very sensitive to caffeine intake, and I’m happy to report this hasn’t bothered me at all despite containing some natural caffeine from the cacao. Cacao has naturally occurring heavy metals - just can’t get away from it. However, I have found this Cacao to be have some of the lowest heavy metal content. I appreciate the fact they have it third party tested, so results will naturally change with each batch. I use it in my coffee and smoothies for the heath benefits. It’s a bonus that it adds such a richness of flavor, tastes great and blends well. I have used this product for years and will continue to do so. Just as an aside, I am 64, I have had high cholesterol for years, my diet is mostly keto. My doctor wanted to put me on cholesterol medication. Instead, I had a Coronary arterial scan (CAC) to see if I had plaque buildup and my score was zero. Speaking for myself, I believe this has greatly helped me avoid cholesterol medication. Cacao is just really good for your health in so many ways.

Really good stuff and great as a hot drink full of anti-oxidants when you first wake up. By itself it’s butter however, so is best mixed with a bit of honey for a low-cal healthy morning wake-me-up.
