This is a good looking battery charger . Looks to be well made . I have not had a dead battery to try it out . So for now it waits to be used .

The automatic feature is great, set it and go about your business. It will automatically charge your battery to factory specification on its own.

I have a Camaro that hadn’t been started for 3 months after purchasing a new battery. I was barely able to get the car to unlock with the car fob. I was using my daily driver to jump start the car and had it run for 30 minutes before turning it off. The next day it wouldn’t start again so I decided to get this battery charger/jumper and after removing the battery and having it charge for more than 10 hours it had the right voltage displayed. I put the battery back in the car and viola it started like a champ. Haven’t had any issues this far with jumping any vehicle battery. Will have to look at my lawnmower battery in a month or two and see how well it does to start the lawnmower. I am very happy with the purchase.

Received damaged. Needed to use unit on a vehicle, assembled wheel kit and went to test. The dsr131 did not work properly. Will return for another unit but confidence wains due to other low reviews.Update. Ok, I have been made whole. Just received a new charger in an impressive turn. Assembled and applied the dsr131 to the vehicle and the new unit works great! Increased to four stars. Good value! Great service! Thank you to all those involved.

The first one charged my battery but it was insanely loud. It also read that my battery was completely dead. 0% charged. It was a standard battery with vent caps. I took the caps off during charging. I turned the charger off about 90% thru charging and went to bed. I woke the next day to finish the charge and the percentage meter read my battery was 0% charged. I started to charge the battery and the minute I put the charger on the battery the acid began to boil, but still it started at 1% charged. Called Schumacher tech support they said to return it. I bought the second one. MUCH MUCH quieter. Seemed to be doing the job perfectly on a different battery. Watching it closely, the green "Finished" light came on at only 90%. I called tech support. They said it shouldn't stop until it reads 100%. I sent it back. The third charger did the same as the second, except it turns off at 78%. Schumacher asked me to return to them for a repair. I said no. I live in California in fire season. I need a working charger for my money, not a refurbished unit. They put me on hold and I quickly hung up and called Amazon to get the return started. You be the judge. Is this what you want to pay for? The Schumacher DSR131 is coming out of the factory with ZERO QUALITY CONTROL AND DEFECTIVE. THREE IN A ROW????????? IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD,..... I rarely give anything less that 5 stars. Now and then I give 4 but its rare. If the product works or the food tastes good it gets 5 stars. I live deep in the woods in Northern California. I order from Amazon at LEAST 3 times a week. If you look at my reviews I'm very generous. 5 stars to everyone. This is my first 1 Star review in 10 years. JUNK!!!!!!

This specific Charger/Starter is particularly excellent due to it’s applicability to three types of batteries. One of our vehicles happens to have an AMG battery vs a Standard battery. This Charger/Starter works with our AMG battery while others will not. During the recent (2019) Polar Vortex, our battery in a vehicle we seldom drive was completely dead. This product brought that battery back to life and saved us an expensive service appointment. The product was very easy to operate.

I finally broke down and bought a good charger. I didn’t know what I’d been missing. It’s light, rolls around easy. Cables are thick and the clamps are quality. It’s quiet, don’t know it’s even on sometimes. 3 different charging settings band covers all different batteries.

This charger is awesome , I own a super duty truck that I have marine batteries in it , I put on and it wouldn't charge so I read booklet page by page it would not charge I looked up my battries and saw it was marine so I went out it was at 12% switched it to marine and 2 hours it was at 100% and green light and had auto switched off , so just a heads up make sure it's on right settings or it will not charge........... Love it ... Very nice ... Highly recommend
