The fourth, and I hope final, solution to the locking block problem that stretches back to Day One of the Beretta 92/96 handguns. If you're confident with your abilities to remove the ultra-fine metric roll pin (a new one is supplied, just in case) to install the new cam, it's a no-brainer fix. Otherwise, take just the barrel assembly itself to a gunsmith for about five minutes of skilled labor.It goes without saying, but I should probably say it anyway: After the new locking block is in place, the locking surfaces will need fitting, just as the old one did. The entire block must toggle freely by gravity alone. The curved locking lugs usually don't need much fitting, but the horizontal bearing surfaces may need a little, or a lot, of fitting. The barrel should slide in the frame and slide with no friction. Check the "feeling" of the existing locking block to get an idea of what you need to achieve with the new one. Remove the recoil spring and guide to test sliding fit without the spring adding extra forces.Even the factory-fit locking block is not perfectly fit, just "good enough". A perfect fit makes the entire weapon feel like it's running on melted butter, and operates much more smoothly, quietly, and accurately. It's convinced me the 9x series is one of my favorites. I still prefer a couple other brands, but it's like preferring a blue Corvette over a red one.

Fit perfect in my B92S model. Drive out old pin, take away plunger, slide out old locking block.Put in this really nice kit. Thank you.
