If you're a fan of high fantasy, loved ACOTAR/TOG/The Empyrean/All Souls I think this will be your next best read! Huge world building, the characters are fleshed out well, you get their personality quickly and you're like, for exemple: "Oh yeah that's such a Carrion thing to say". What I love is that there's plotwist onto plotwist, you're not expecting what is going to happen and I was very invested. The smut is smutting 🌶🌶 Be sure to check the website for the Bonus Chapters of Kingfisher before book 2, and check the internet for other bonus chapters that were on special editions of the books. My only issues lies there because it's kind of hard to find them and still be in the flow of the story. I remember learning there were other chapters weeks after I finished the book.
