Enamel on Steel Traditional Petite Stockpot, 3.8qt., Sea Salt

As stated it is a "petite" stockpot... it is very small. I love the sea salt color. It is a an enamel coated steel. It has some weight to it. It's perfect for 1 or 2 person household. The lid fits perfectly on the lipped edge of the pot. Two side handles. I love my Le Creuset cast iron and these enamel pieces. With good care, they are heirloom pieces. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. It’s the smaller size perfect for 2, lighter weight but still durable, and IMO safe for food preparation (no dangerous chemicals released), easy to clean. Happy with the white color, too.

So this is not like the typical cast-iron it’s made from aluminum versatile, cleans, easy and really a great little pot.

Perfect size for small batch soups.

I want to save other people the heartache of believing, per the description on Amazon and the product packaging itself, that this is a "casserole". In English, casseroles are baked in the oven. In French, they mean a pot or pan that can only be used on the stove. This cannot be used in the oven, only on the stove top. I needed a four-quart true casserole with ovenable lid and so I got this. When I studied the information, I realized it cannot be used in the oven, so I returned it. The price is low for Le Creuset, and as others have pointed out, they are not made in France, for the most part. This is a pretty stove top pot, only. Choose accordingly.

Great gift, exactly as described

i thought it would be too small since it was described as petite but it was the perfect size! was looking for this but am very bad with measurements, unfortunately. another thing is the weight is manageable unlike its cast iron counterpart. highly recommended.
