Waiting for my second unit to arrive . Something I learned about inverters . People have no idea how to calculate wattage for 12 volts. I also learned that is extremely easy to install and purchase an inline fuse . If your shopping on Amazon an in-line fuse should be in your cart. If it’s smoking you probably didn’t actually look at what your alternator and inverter can handle out of the box. Most people using this setup in their trucks . Cannot get the full 1500 watts with the stock alternator. For this unit with a high output alternator your safe with a 150 amp fuse . Your stock truck should have an inline fuse no bigger than 60 amps from the start. You can install everything right. However Your truck cannot Match the 1500 watts your trying to push through it. I don’t speak for everyone . Those who don’t have a clue start small. I wouldn’t push more than 700 watts through this until. Make the correct changes to your vehicle . It’s a great device . Works great , no drop in power . I have this mounted in my truck bed out of the weather . I have the remote , mounted in the blank plate in the cab. It’s handled everything I’ve needed it to do. Be safe do your homework. This works safely directly to your battery terminal. I have a stock anl bus bar on my diesel battery . I’ve seen people attach to that bus bar and fry half of their electrical components. Take a minute, plan and learn .

Excellent 12v 1500W inverter. It was unpacked, plugged in, and ready to use. The power and voltage readings are quite accurate. The electrical outlets feel strong. Fans make noise but it is normal for this class of devices. I'm using it to run a refrigerator and freezer, as well as discreetly the lights, TV, and two 18" fans at night. I placed two small pieces of wood to separate it from the surface because I perceive that the air flows better through the two cooling fans. The installation kit fits perfectly.

It seems solidly built and works well. Every feature you'd want is included. The included cabling and fuse is a nice touch, and high quality. Its output seems to be less than household voltage, like a box fan runs slower when powered by this unit. But it still works. It could be that my house is a little above 120V and this unit puts out about 115V. One Weird Caveat: when you first hook it up to a battery, it blows out some white smoke, like something inside fried. I ordered two of these, and sent the first one back when it did that. But after the replacement one did the same thing, I decided to try it anyway. And it's been running fine for hours now without any more smoke.

Worked great when power went out to keep sump pump running. It was hooked up to a 100ah lithium battery.

just purchased, as soon as i connected it to my battery, smoke started rolling out of it, so it was immediately returned. i am a technician who deals with electrical on the daily, so it was not user error. when the cable was connected to the battery, it arced, indicating that it was drawing a load, and in the case, had an internal short. i think i'll try another brand.

I installed this originally to power a laptop in the car, but this week after Hurricane Helene, the power was out for 4 days. THIS INVERTER saved me. At first I used it to run an icemaker for the coolers, then I used it to run the coffee pot all of which are labelled 1500 watts. Then I thought I should just plug-in my 4 door Samsung refrigerator, and it ran it NO problem. My car is a tiny 2015 Hybrid so the car starts up for about 1 minute every 30 minutes to charge the battery. This one arrived today and is my second one which I'm running a small window air conditioner so we can sleep at night in this summer heat. For those of you who don't already know EVERY electrical device says the power usage on it somewhere, either in Watts or in Volt and Amps (amps x volt = watts). This should help you determine your power consumption. Also this one is STAYS ON all the time unless you turn the switch off so be aware that it can drain your battery of you forget about it and turn off your vehicle. They sell a remote if you want to get that and leave it up front to help remember to shut it off.

This inverter does not alarm beep continuously like crazy as the Renogy inverter. It shuts off automatically when the voltage gets too low. The battery cables are very thick which is good. Renogy has 4AWG on a 2000w inverter so the energizer cables has less resistance. I like the digital display also. The inverter shuts off when battery is low. It does not automatically turn on when battery voltage is charged and the feature I needed is auto ON when charged for my solar panel system.
