Installed this in a vertical Goodman furnace. Old one the bearing failed. Sadly this part ships slowly. However, it's better than the one that shipped quickly. The knock off was the same price but failed to create enough vacuum to get gas turned on. This one worked great first time.

Great part. Installed in about 20 minutes - very simple. I assume its an aftermarket part but fit perfectly. New gasket was included. Best part was it was supposed to arrive in 5 days but got here in 3 so thank you seller!

My HVAC guy told me last fall my motor assembly might last another couple of years before it needs to be replaced. So, I asked him how much that would run me. He said $1k installed. I then asked him to tell me the name of the part and I would order it on my own. I try to do whatever I can at my home myself, but I'm not the greatest with mechanical things. After about 1.5 hours of heavy sweating, I managed to get this in, and it works great! After the install, there are a few things I would highly recommend making it easier! Do it with a partner who can shine a flashlight on the furnace. Take a video on your phone of how everything is hooked up (there are some hoses, wires and screws) before you take your old one out. And finally, make SURE you use at least a 6" socket extension. I somehow made it through with a 3" but my hands (and patience) really paid for it! The smaller screws that mount it to the back of your furnace is quite the challenge to get in, even after you line it up exactly w/ the hole. All in all, I'm glad I did the install and saved the money!

This motor fit perfect and came with everything needed including new mounting screws and the gasket for against the secondary Heat exchanger. As others have stated, it does not come with the drain port with the yellow rubber cover as pictured in the listing. If you need to use that larger drain port do not buy this inducer motor, it only comes with one port towards the middle of the blower that is used for the pressure switch hose.

During the winter my heater just died. Unfortunately at the time I did not know about the circuit board indicator that helps isolate the faults—the problem was a faulty pressure switch. Before I changed this unit, I had issues that I had a faulty inducer. I had started to recently hear a noise and it had grew increasingly louder over time, so I figured bad bearings.Luckily this product was in stock but, the shipping options were egregious at best. Keep in mind this was the middle of winter, luckily I had a two furnace system in my home. Although I was a prime member two day shipping—not available. It would cost over $100 for the two day shipping option—it may be lower in the summer but that’s taking advantage of the consumer. The price for the unit alone was very reasonable. The cost of getting a “professional” was a rip off at best.Once received, I compared the unit side by side to the existing. Everything seemed to match up. I think that anyone that knows how to use a socket wrench could replace this. It took about 30 minutes or so.What you need to know: on the existing unit there was a housing that went over the motor. For this particular unit I place this on-because a sticker literally said “ don’t run this unit without this cover” and went to operate it. It fired up and started to run but instantly shut off. Short story is the housing prohibited the inducer motor from spinning freely. The bolts on the new motor was not long enough to compensate for the housing and the bolts to secure it. After some quick troubleshooting , I removed the housing and walla!Pros: Price and easy DIY for anyone who doesn’t want being taken advantage of by a heating service provider in the dead of winter.CONS: No prime shipping when I no kidding NEEDED Amazon prime shipping the most.
