Good stuff! Update: REALLY good stuff
I just got this and used it once. It definitely affected my hair differently than what I've been using lately. It still feels totally clean after 4 days! I've been using bar soap (Vunella) for a couple of years until I decided to use up the bottle of tea tree that I had on hand. The Vunella has been fine, also, but I decided to try this hydrating shampoo for dry hair. I used it without any conditioner or any sprays because I wanted to know exactly what IT was going to do. My hair was a little more 'manageable' and not flyaway, and it looked better than usual. I'm not sure what the hyaluronic should feel like, it's not oily or anything like that, but it does feel nicer. And my 4-day dirty hair hasn't looked this good in a long time. It's a good size bar, so should last a while. The pictures represent a couple of times using up the tea tree, and one time using the Ethique. I threw out what was left of the tea tree shampoo. And I gotta say, it's SO important for us to use less plastic! Recycling can't begin to manage all the plastic we use - much of it still ends up in landfills. So this shampoo bar is a huge winner for me.

So Latherful
Like most responsible citizens of planet earth I’m trying to make green changes in my life, and I finally decided to try bar shampoo — and I’m so glad I did! Apparently so is my brother — who stole the bar, making me have to replace it with a shampoo and conditioner set. I have a hodgepodge of curly hair — a mix from 2c to 3c — making care for it a bit of a chore, so switching from my normal bottled hair care to the bar was a little scary, but seems to have turned out well! The lather is luxurious, and smells so good. My hair felt soft, clean, moisturized, and had its healthy shine. Having just received my second order from Ethique, I haven’t tried the conditioner yet since this order was only shampoo — but with how the shampoo preformed, I’m so excited now that my bottles are completely empty. I have high hopes for this becoming my go to brand. It’s pricey, but I think the value is there. Especially since it’s helping Mother Earth.

Great Shampoo Bar for a Deep Clean!
Love this Shampoo Bar! It’s perfect for my oily scalp, and it gives my hair a truly deep clean without stripping it dry. The combination of lime and orange essential oils gives it a fresh, invigorating scent that lasts without being overpowering. It lathers like a dream—so much better than I expected from a bar, and I only need to swipe it a few times across my wet hair to get a nice, rich foam. The ingredients are amazing too! The castor oil works wonders at dissolving oils and sebum, while the glycerine keeps my hair soft and hydrated without feeling greasy. My hair feels lighter, cleaner, and has way more volume after use. I’m also loving how eco-friendly it is. The bar lasts a long time (at least 80 washes, which is like three bottles of liquid shampoo!), and the packaging is completely compostable. It feels good knowing I’m saving money and helping reduce plastic waste. Plus, it’s vegan, cruelty-free, and palm oil-free—there’s a lot of thought and care put into making this product. It’s definitely earned a permanent spot in my hair care routine! Highly recommend!

Amazing product! Really love it!
LOVE this shampoo bar! I have been looking for something like this for so long. I have been using this now for a few weeks and every time I love how well it does to clean my hair and leave it shiney and soft. It lathers better than some bottled shampoos I have been using. I'm pairing it with the conditioner and when my hair dries it is so soft and it is enhancing my natural wavy hair. The only thing I wish was better about this is the scent is not strong/barely noticeable. But I'm a customer for life. I love this and think this will last me a very, very long time.

I wish I would have found ethique before becoming eco conscious
The Good: 1. This shampoo bar is game changing. After just one wash my hair feels like I cut 4-5 inches off and got a keratin treatment. I can’t rave about it enough! I never used to wear my hair down and for the first time I do and am confident wearing it hair down also lol. This is the healthiest, shiniest, softest and the lightest my hair has ever been! My curl pattern is even restoring! Love love love love love! 2. The bar lathers up really fast and easily. It requires minimal product to wash my whole head and my hair is armpit length. 3. I’ve paired this bar with the guardian conditioner and I’ve tried the bar with zero conditioner. Both ways have still given me amazing hair lol! 4. My partner who was convinced I was wasting money on expensive hippie bar soap with a shampoo label also loves this shampoo/company. He loves how he barley had to use it on his head and it lathers up a ton! We’ve been using the bar for one month and his dandruff has gone away. 5. They really are eco! Ethique customer service is very friendly and they will answer all and any of your eco questions. They do a great job of making a product that is not only great for the customer but doesn’t have a negative backlash on the environment! They’re also zero waste! 6. They formulate their shampoo/conditioner bars without soap. They do this because your hair needs a different pH then your body. The company itself uses soap but soap is not used in the shampoo and conditioner bars for good reason and it truly shows! This is all around a quality product. 8. My hair on day 3-4 did get an oily awkward transitional phase but that only lasted about 4 days. 7. I’ve been telling everyone about this companies shampoo/conditioner. Everyone who’s bought this bar after I recommended it has told me that they think it’s game changing also! The Bad: 1. Initially I kept skimming past these products because they aren’t organic. I came back to look at this company more in depth after I had asked for recommendations in several zero waste groups im in on Facebook and at least 50% of people recommended ethique. I contacted ethique directly and It turns out most of their ingredients are organic. They put sustainability before organic though and the ingredients that aren’t organic are second best. That being said this is still an issue for a lot of people. I really think they should advertise which ingredients are actually organic and which aren’t and why. 2. Most of the negative reviews that I read were about the bars not lasting. $16 just for the shampoo was not going to be a feasible monthly buy for me. I have a corner shelf in my shower that is away from direct water but does not protect the bars from moisture. We’ve been using our bars for a month. (two adults using it every other day to every three days) there’s still plenty of product! I could see how this would be frustrating for someone who doesn’t have a corner shelf, doesn’t want to buy the bar storage containers or anyone that just can’t deal with moving the bar in and out of the shower with every use. 3. For whatever reason my hair takes almost twice as long to dry sense I’ve switched to ethique. It may be my hair type but I can see how this could be problematic for others. Especially people with very curly hair. If you are concerned about this I recommend getting their sample pack. $16 for samples that you don’t know if you’ll like or not is a bit much in my opinion. I have seen a lot of amazing reviews from very curly haired people for the sweet and spicy ethique bar. The salt is supposed to be helpful. Since my curl pattern is restoring I do plan on trying that bar next myself. 4. If I wanted to really complain on here it would be that I’ve legit worried that if ethique ever goes out of business I’ll never be able to be this happy with my hair/shampoo ever again 😂😂😂😂 I seriously 100% love these bars and recommend them. That being said based on the other reviews I’ve read as well as my own personal experience with this ethique shampoo bar, I can see how some things that I stated above could end up problematic for other people. Realistically though, I think these complaints are very convinced based and for me they aren’t a deal breaker. Pic is my bar after one months use between two adults!

Heali Kiwi 4 Week Review
*When looking at the images provided please note that I cut off a 1/4 of the bar to test. The bar itself arrived in perfect condition! *My hair type: Mid-length, fine hair (but a lot of it, so I've been told). My scalp gets oily very quickly and I was my hair every other day. I've suffered with an itchy scalp and dandruff off and on for about 13 years. This is the second shampoo bar that I've tried from Ethique (the first being the St. Clemens sample) and the third shampoo bar I've tried in general. I'm a big fan of how Ethique shampoo bars don't require an ACV rinse and leave the hair feeling just as soft as when using the typical liquid shampoo. That being said, I rated the Heali Kiwi bar a 3/5. Why? While the Heali Kiwi bar is targeted towards people with scalp problems I found that it didn't do much of anything for my dandruff or itchy scalp. I would say it mildly decreased the itch, but not enough for me to consider purchasing this bar again. In terms of the other aspects of this shampoo bar I think it holds up to the quality that I've come to expect from Ethique products. This bar leaves my hair feeling soft and clean after each use, and doesn't leave any buildup (a consistent problem for me with traditional shampoos). I will mention that this bar left my roots feeling slightly more dry than the St. Clemens bar, but it wasn't significant enough to be a problem for me. The bar lathers easily in the shower and has a light citrus scent the dissipates with use. In the pictures provided you can see there are little pieces of something in the bar. I'm assuming that these are meant to exfoliate your scalp, but they mostly just came off in my hair (I would say 85% of the time the bits would just rinse out with water, but I DID notice the occasional bit stuck in my hair after air-drying fully). In terms of storage, longevity and cost of the Heali Kiwi bar: As with all Ethique shampoo bars I would strongly recommend storing the bar outside of the shower on a soap dish with proper drainage. In order to make these bars last, you really need to allow them to fully dry out between uses. 1/4 of a bar lasted me 4 full weeks with use every other day and I still had a tiny bit left over! So, assuming you store the bar properly and wash your hair on the same schedule as me, this bar should last you a bit over 4 months. I wouldn't recommend using 1/4 at a time, but I think that cutting it in half or 1/3 might help preserve the bar better over time. I think that justifying the cost comes down to personal factors, but in my case I wouldn't buy this bar again and would rather go back to using the St. Clemens or try out a different shampoo bar from Ethique. If you are interested in trying out this or any other shampoo bar from Ethique I would highly recommend trying out the sample size first! The sample sizes last about 4 weeks as well for me.

Wonderful in every way. I only wish I had found it sooner.!
I have now used the bar several times and it is a great product in every way. The crescent shape bar fits perfectly in an open hand and is a very clever design. The lather was wonderful, plenty for a good scalp massage (and I have thick, though short hair). The amount of time it took to lather up was much faster than another shampoo bar I have used. It (the other bar) seemed effective at moisturizing my scalp but it look a long time to work up enough lather for my thick hair.) I've tried several others, liquid and bars for dry, itchy scalp (not necessarily dandruff) that were okay. But this is incredibly effective with great lather and a wonderful shape for your hands. It is without a doubt a 'keeper'. And I'm not using a cream rinse after shampooing. I towel dry, and use a styling cream then let it continue air-drying. Oh, wow, that's the making of healthy, natural hair. (I never used color or permed my hair. It's beautiful gray as God aged it. I love that there are other formulas I can suggest to friends and family. Ruth Jackins

I love the way this product leaves my fine hair feeling as if it has some body to it. The scent is light and refreshing and it’s a non-liquid for travel purposes. I highly recommend this solid shampoo bar!
