Great replacement for my application
I bought this movement to replace a broken one on a large (27") wall clock we have. I bought it mainly because the description had a clear drawing of the shaft sizes and lengths which matched my needs exactly. It was very quick to switch out and everything fit exactly. I was a little concerned because this movement is much smaller than the one it replaced but it has worked perfectly so far. Great product, good price and overnight delivery -- what more could I ask for?NOTE: the clock is pictured the one I fixed but it has a separate movement for the pendulum and small second hand so this kit did not include that...

Easy to put in the clock and worked immediately!

Easy to assemble
Good product. Hands are a bit fragile and care needs to be taken. But the mechanism works and the price is right.

Very cheap, but works
Low quality, but worked as a replacement for my wife's giant clock. Had to bend the hands into shape however.

Makes a great reactive target
The short version: The spindle or shaft that carries the hands was entirely made of plastic, was the wrong shape for the hole in the minute hand, and had no threads to accommodate the nut that is supposed to hold the hands in place. It was entirely unusable. The long version: After discovering the very small and well obscured “Made in China” disclaimer, I knew in a heartbeat what the clock mechanism was good for. Now, before I get on with my story I’d like to note that there is a significant difference between Chinese made products and products “Made in China”. For example, I have several very high quality, functional and versatile flashlights made by a Chinese owned company, employing Chinese workers in a Chinese manufacturing facility in China. In other words, there is a Chinese entrepreneur that has skin in the game making sure his or her products are top shelf. That’s an example of Chinese made. The clock mechanism was “Made in China”. To get on with my story, I decided to give the clock mechanism one last chance to prove itself worth at least something, so I subjected it to the .45 ACP test as delivered by a 1911 Government, full frame semiautomatic. Not wanting to drive the 35 miles to the shooting range, I spent the time and effort to construct a small backstop of tamped earth and plywood that was about 18 inches thick, which I placed against the concrete foundation wall of my garage. To this I mounted the clock mechanism with museum wax. I did not try and affix the hands as I thought they could potentially become a high velocity hazard zipping through the air. Anyway, I paced off 21 feet, loaded a 185 grain jacketed hollow point into battery, took aim, and fired. The results were glorious. I found nothing of the clock mechanism except a few tiny shards of plastic. Not quite vaporized, but close. - And then reality set in as I realized I had just broken several town ordinances concerning discharging a firearm within city limits and projectiles and noise and Lord knows what else. I went back inside the house to await the inevitable patrol car pulling into my driveway. Five minutes elapsed. Then 10, 20, 45… After an hour and 15 minutes I realized no patrol car was coming. No one had reported a deranged lunatic shooting a gun in his back yard. Though happy to not have to explain my actions to a law enforcement officer and perhaps appear in the Police Reports section of the Thursday edition of the local newspaper, I am nonetheless considering moving to a safer neighborhood.
