Fiebing's Black Suede Dye (4 oz) was purchased during august of 2023 for the price of $9.98 plus tax. the product is now available for the price of $9.89 plus tax (December 16, 2024).The shoes upon which the dye was used were new. However, the coloring seemed to be a bit faded...not as saturated as I would have liked them to be. Although I have never gone through the process of dyeing shoes previously, I really wanted to enjoy these shoes...so I took a chance after watching a few YOUTUBE videos.The process of using the Fiebing's Dye was as straight forward as one would hope, and expect. The only suggestion is to be prepared before beginning as to avoid making a mess of the application, or accidental spillage.The most important aspect of obtaining the best results is to follow the instructions. After having done just that, the results were superlative. The color saturation that I desired was immediatrely appparent upon completion.The most important thing about the process is to make sure you have a suitable suede brush in order to release the nap of the suede after the dye had completely dried. If, for some reason, the saturation of color is not to one's satisfaction, it wouldn't be outside the realm of suggestions to apply another coat of dye.I'm thoroughly satisfied with the results of using this product. Howver, I can only attest to the results of having used the Black dye. I have no idea if similar results would be obtained with the different color dyes that are being offered by Fiebing's. Nonetheless, Fiebing's has an excellent reputation of offering quality products. It would be worth the effort to take a chance on the spectrum of colors offered.

I bought this after seeing the other Amazon reviewer with the same black uggs and amazing hers turned out! I highly recommend this product! very easy to apply, I did two coats for funzies when it only needed one. the color is beautiful, the size of the bottle is more than enough I hardly used any for one coat. It dries super fast as well! Great quality product.

I had high hopes for this dye. As you can see it works great! These shoes were grey and very worn out but now they look brand new! Unfortunately I noticed after, 2 days left to dry, I went to wipe the white parts and noticed that the black was coming off into my hands. I then rubbed some parts with a dry paper towel and the color was coming off. I don’t think all the color will come off ever but it isn’t completely permanent after it dries.

Perfect. I wanted to change the color of my shoes. They were bright red so I bought a brown to dull it. Just what I wanted. Looks maroon now. Easy to do.

Works great, I have 6 sofas, I tried to use on all of them. 4 came out great, looks like new.2 where not. The reason is not this dye. Two sofas leather is very thick and not absorbent, as result this dye did not penetrate it. Four other sofas, with soft leather (better quality leather) worked great.I did not have any damage to any leather, just original paint rubbed off. Best product, best even when they don't claim it work on leather. Found this product by reading reviews.It is better priced, produced by reputable company, and dye does not rubbed off in a month. I will see what will happen later, but it tried to remove it by washing it off it does not.my advice, if using it for the sofa, do not use applicator that comes with it, it will make univen colors on the sofa.I used applicator only for lightest spots, and after i covered the whole sitting area with very soft sponge multiple times. Half of the bottle covered 2 full size sofas.Your case could be different, all is based on quality of your leather, the thicker it is the harder will it get to apply.You can do a little test apply some water to the sofa's leather, if water absorbs a little, it will work.

I needed black boot for a wedding. Rather than spend money on new boots I took my favorite pair or light brown suede boots and used this dye on them to make them black. It did not work. I used 2 layers allowing a day to dry in between each one hoping they would become black after the 2nd layer. They are dark brown at best. Each boot took half a bottle so its not like I can add more to try again and hope that they finally turn black. So I wasted my money on this dye and still have to get new boots. Very disappointing

Dries lighter than the dark brown. I love the color.

I used this to dye a suede bag that was showing some wear and tear. It worked well, was easy to apply, and came out pretty even; however, the color is not “light brown” way more of a rust/orange color. Not sure if I want to try a different color over top or just go with it.
