I bought this for my husband for Christmas. He does low carb and I didn't want him to not have all the good snacks everyone else can have. We got three blocks of cheese, quality-- that taste excellent-- mind you, and they're decently sized-- even if it was maybe a little bit pricey for the money we spent? But if you want something that tastes good, I think you have to splurge, especially around the holiday season, when every penny counts. I would rather buy less for people, if I have to, and buy them something they actually like, tastes good, and is a quality product. It sure beats buying them something they'll never use...

We love cheese here at my house. All sorts of it, for sure! So I decided to order this one from Hickory Farms, as we have tried their products in the past with favorable results. This cheddar blend has a really wonderful smoked flavor. If you don't like smokey cheese, do not buy this! We happen to love the stuff. I'm going to be using this on our charcuterie board on Xmas eve. If we don't scarf it all down before then! Lol ( today's Xmas eve eve...aka Dec. 23) I'm going to order some more of this to have for New years. Fyi: the sale price I took advantage of was very reasonable for two 10 oz. Bricks. I think it was $13 so apprx. $6.50 each. I pay somewhere around that price at the grocery store at the good cheese area, so it's reasonable. I wouldn't want to pay more for it although it is very delicious and was delivered to the front door. I recommend it.

This Hickory Farms Smoked Cheddar Blend is crazy good and beats many supermarket smoked cheeses because the smoking seems to dry out many cheeses, but the blend here of Swiss and cheddar makes the cheese creamy good while also retaining that delicious smoky bite. You don't lose one or the other with this. I felt like I was going way out on a limb purchasing this since I had previously purchased a thoroughly disgusting Hickory Farms cheese and sausage combo, but after reading the reviews, I thought, "What the heck! If this many people think it's good, it must be!" and went for it. I'm glad I did. This is a good product that I will definitely be buying again (as long as it doesn't go up crazy in cost; there are better cheeses at higher price points). UPDATE: 4/6/19 I just logged on to buy my third order of this cheese, and it is now ridiculously priced. I paid less than $24 for my first two orders, which I thought was high but fair given how much I love the product, I went with it. I have deducted a star for the $34.99 price tag, a huge jump in a little over a single month, and this cheese is simply not worth that price. Period. If you want to pay that much, get a higher quality organic aged cheese. This is Hickory Farms, for goodness' sake. Not worth a dime over $25 (and it's not even worth that unless your really love it, as I do).
