Measuring Handy Whisk (Miso Muddler) (1)

Functionality:I debated about buying this since it seemed pricy for a single function tool, but I’m glad I broke down and bought it (note — don’t open the Amazon app after two glasses of wine. You may not like what comes in the mail. I got lucky this time)I use this for adding Better Than Bullion pastes to gravy and soup, and it’s much easier to blend the paste with this. It’s easy to rinse off, and it goes in the dishwasher as well, the handle is solid, so there’s nowhere for bacteria to hide.

Now, this is a handy dandy device. Get the right amount of miso into the pot and use this to stir it around until this is clean and ready to rinse. I've seen others reviewed on here that have a "bad smell" from the unable to be cleaned tube between the ends. This has the tube handle sealed at each end so nothing gets in there to smell - meaning this is clearly superior to whatever that other miso ball device is. This gets used at least once a week and goes in the dishwasher. It's a useful kitchen tool.

I use this almost every weekend when making breakfast. Clean up is a breeze!

Trying to scoop out miso paste with a spoon is messy as it is difficult to scoop out of a container. I like the muddler as it doubles as a whisk. I rated the muddler a 4 star in the "easy to clean" category as with any sticky ingredient, and especially with miso paste, it is just not easy to clean. This is a specialty tool, so just be aware that you might not use it as often as other kitchen gadgets.

I love this tool as I make a lot of miso soup during the rainy season. It is a pain trying to get the miso paste out of the measuring spoon. This is perfect and all you need to do is swirl it around until the miso paste is dissolved and keeps hands away from hot liquid better than a measuring spoon. Wonderful tool to invest in and love that it has two different sizes for the amount of miso one would be making. It is good quality and durable. Highly recommend if you need something like this. You will not be disappointed.

Cheap and flimsy. Didn't even open the package.

I bought this thinking it was a cute little gadget. However, as I really like miso soup, I find it sitting in my drain tray, almost daily. It makes measuring and incorporating miso into a bit of broth so easy. It acts not only as a measuring device but also as a whisk.
