Works very well for my outdoor security cameras and fireside internet chats!
We have a seasonal getaway in the woods of Northern Michigan. To my astonishment and delight, we had fiber optic internet service installed about a year ago, which has dramatically changed our visits there into more fun and home-like experiences than ever before. It's been transformed from a place where we couldn't even make or receive mobile phone calls to one where we can enjoy internet, email and even our streaming subscription TV.Before we had to close up for the year late last fall, I installed a couple of inexpensive security cameras that were mounted right outside the mobile home we call our 'cabin'. They worked ok, despite the weakened wifi signal due to the aluminum siding on the exterior of the homehome. But I wanted a stronger signal for better range in inclement weather, and I wanted to upgrade to PTZ cameras that are recharged via solar power, and could be mounted a bit farther away. This WAVLINK N300 turned out to be a perfect solution. It's 2.4Ghz only, which keeps the purchase price of the device down. But since most security cameras and IOT devices don't run on the 5Ghz band, that's not an issue! 2.4Ghz has provides better coverage and longer range - just what we needed!Setup was a breeze. Everything included was packed well and thoroughly explained in the instruction booklet. It defaults to Access Point mode, which is the solution I wanted, so it was essentially plug & play. Using it this way entails connecting to the ISP router's WAN via ethernet cable. In this mode, the N300 functions as separate wi-fi network with a default name of WAVLINK_N, but you can rename this network to something else of your choice and then connect to it with your devices, such as phones, computers, smart TVs, cameras, internet assistants such as Alexa and Google, etc. Now we can make and receive phone calls via Wi-Fi calling and text messages - things we'd never been able to accomplish before!I have the N300 mounted on a pole about 25ft outside our mobile home. (See uploaded photo, showing the installation before being finalized...) From this vantage point, all 4 of the outdoor cameras have the highest signal level rating of 'Strong'. I walked around the side and the coverage is impressive, with no signs of the 85-ft aluminum-sided mobile home affecting the signal to the camera that's on the far end of the trailer. It also permits sitting around the campfire with our S'mores in the evening, watching saved programs on our home DVR or checking email as we enjoy the outdoors. And I can walk down to the end of the long driveway while still getting a strong, useable signal. TV programming, WiFi mobile phone calls & texts, email, remote control of the thermostat - all the modern conveniences we could want in a rustic location! And all made better and more reliable by this inexpensive device. It just 'works', and I'm very happy! 5-stars, two thumbs up, no complaints!

Great wifi
We got this because of cameras that we have across our property. This was the first one that I tried and it is excellent. It was not big enough for my property but it works great as a Wi-Fi extender and is very easy to set up. I'm going to give it five stars because maybe we asked a little too much of it so we ended up buying a model with more antennas that gave us longer range. This one however is definitely worth it for those that needed a smaller area covered.

It works.
It works. I have two houses across the street from each other. This connects them, except for a few seconds when a large truck rolls by.

5GHz goes 800 feet and 2.4GHz in AP Mode
As an antenna manufacturer, we tested the range of the WAVLINK AC1200 Outdoor Long Range Weatherproof WiFi Extender in AP mode mounted at 25 feet. We used an iPhone and found speed dropped to 1MBs at 500 feet for 2.4GHz and 1MBs at 800 feet for 5GHz. 2.4GHz should go further than 5GHz, but that's the results. Coverage was good. Signal quality, strength, and connectivity was consistent. More data will be added as we test other modes. A big plus it that the software interface makes this system easy to setup.

Hard to link it to your router and make it work.
I am not even using it, I had a hard time to connect it to the router, once connected I have a had time to connect devices to it.

Meets my expectations
The indicator LEDs for setting up and monitoring the activity are tiny and very hard to read in office settings and with very bright light almost impossible for me to see. I cut out a photocopy of the indicator light's position since it was hard to figure out which each one was telling me from the device.Once set up, there is little need to look at it again, though.

False advertisement
Hooked it up, and i only get 2 bars from it, from less then 20 ft away. Range says 600m, so not sure what the deal is.Bars i get more bars on the router from standing in the same spot, and the router is inside about 40 ft away. Id say its a waste of money and false advertisement

Easy to install and has long range
I have an equipment pole barn that is 350' from my T-Mobile WiFi Modem/Router. I installed this range extender to enable the use of a security camera at the pole barn, allowing me to monitor my equipment. I installed it as an AP, and it was surprisingly easy to install since it does not need A/C power at the device. The range is very good.
