SC01CLT Sonata Clarinet Case Back Pack Style Clarinet Gig Bag

My son had an old Sonata trumpet and when we upgraded his trumpet to a Yamaha one the case that came withbit weighed over 5kg so he went back to using the old case. 6 years on an the foam had started to disintegrate hence the purchase of exactly the same case. It is really lightweight with is perfect for travelling to and from school and yet firm and robust enough to protect the trumpet. His case and trumpet survived a school coach music tour to Austria. Well worth the money. Would highly recommend this case. Only slight downside is that it only has one hole for one mouth piece.

To call this a gig bag is perhaps not what I would see it as, being a padded hard case with zip and Velcro fasteners. It comes with rings and a strap so you can carry it over the shoulder or on your back.It does fit my Bb clarinet, so no issues there; there is room for two barrels, which is useful and a space for reeds and other paraphernalia.Empty, it is quite light, so when in use, it is not a burden to carry.Without testing it, I am of the view it will protect my instrument from damage, if dropped or otherwise knocked. It wouldn't against being run over.At the price, it is good value and definitely worth a lookover.

Nice, sturdy clarinet case although smaller than I expected it to be. The indentations inside for each piece of the clarinet aren't really long or deep enough for a Bb clarinet - it does fit in but at a bit of a tight squeeze. However, it's a really nice, lightweight case and all-in-all I'm happy with it.

For being sold at close to £50, the finish and quality of the case is extremely lacking. The "plush" lining is nothing of the sort. What resembles hobby craft, thin and flimsey, felt is poorly fitted to the molded polystyrene foam pads, which have little to give whatsoever. The only positive comment I can make is that the case is lightweight. The interior pocket is shallow, with very little room for accessories and the external pocket doesn't accommodate A4 sized sheet music and is not fit for purpose. Apologies to everyone reading my rambling, but if I could save someone the dissapointment and inconvenience of purchasing this item, then you'll thank me in the end!

The appearance is very good, the case is light and protects well the flute, and the zipped pouch can hold accessories: like a cleaning cloth and stick, handling gloves, etc. The interior of the case is of ample size to accommodate other things, like: a joint-grease pill-box and (made specially for me) a hand crutch of Boehm design. What more could you ask?

Quite good but not much room for accessories etc

This is a great case at a great price, my cornet fits perfectly and looks good in it. It comes with two straps so it can be carried on the shoulder or as a backpack. A budget price maybe, but better than budget product. Only complaint is that I did not receive any delivery notes in the packaging or on the box, otherwise all good!

I bought this for my sons Cornet, it is decently priced and seems like it would hold up it if actually fit the cornet. I was going to return it but shipping cost as much as I paid for the case which is stupid and it comes from Scotland. If the company is going to sell cases then they should pay for returns especially when they don't fit the instrument it's being made for.
