I have used both astringents No 2 and 5. 5 is a bit strong and leads to peeling and dryness,. 2 is a bit too mild. I tried to mix the formulas for a mid point and it worked beautifully. I have purchased these astringents for a few years and will continue. I tried going without, but my skin lacked clarity and pores became noticeable and clogged. This astringent really cleans your skin, tightens pores and takes away dead cells. It clears blemishes very fast and seems to help prevent them My 2 teen children started to use it and they love the affect...though they think it stings a bit.

Great Astringent. Works well, removes dirt and oils and makeup that cleansing doesn’t. Helps decrease the size of larger pores and keeps the skin looking bright and clean. Stings at first, but work your way slowly from every other night to AM and PM.

I bought this for my 15 year old son. It does seem to help. I also bought the No. 5, but it's really strong. He alternates the two. It's no miracle treatment, but it seems to help dry out some of his acne.

This product is used for skin care, an additional step for cleansing & caring for large pores.

This is the best astringent if you have acne. Use it on a clean face and your pimple immediately shrinks. By next day it's gone. "Serious Action" REALLY means Serious Action. This astringent is STRONG. If you have sensitive skin this is probably not for you.

This is an excellent astringent for people who still have oily skin as they get older (I am 70) or whose skin may not be quite swimming in oil. Much more gentle than their stronger astringent.
