I've had a glut of fruit this year, and have been making a LOT of chutney. I prefer to use jaggery rather than sugar in my chutney: it gives a depth of colour and a richness of flavour that complements the spices. I ran out with another batch of fruit still to go, hence ordering this one. It's as expected: a thick, moist, dark sugary powder: less sweet that refined sugar but with a lot more flavour. Getting the powdered version eliminates the need for grating, and saves a lot of time, effort and mess. It's a similar texture to muscovado sugar or coconut sugar, and seems to be great quality. I'll buy again, and recommend!

Excellent product. Finely refined, delectable texture and easy to use in baking, coffee, and making treats.

I bought because it says it doesnt curdle the milk and thought was the best alternative to white sugar for my coffee. On the very first day after adding a spoon into my coffee, i noticed a strange thing floating and then realised it was a large dead ant likely. Uff this put me off instantly !! Milk doesnt curdle yes, but i cant trust the hygiene anymore..wondering how many more bugs are in the powder now.

The jaggery cubes are perfect for cooking or just adding sweetness to a dish.

Really good quality jaggery. No artificial smell or chemicals, just pure sugarcane taste. Great alternative to refined sugar!
