Rubies Horse Costume for Kids, Unisex One Size

Simply amazing

I bought this rider horse for my 2 1/2 year old son's Halloween costume (Woody from Toy Story). It was such a cute addition - very comfortable, and very adjustable. I cut out white and black felt eye circles and hot glued them over the original horses face to make him look like Woody's "Bullseye". It turned out AWESOME!! It was perfect for my Toy Story addict :) I agree with other reviews that the head and body IS a bit 'floppy'. I thought about adding some stuffing to make it more substantial, but didn't get around to it. I ended up attaching the velcro "bridle" to the front of my son's shirt so that it stayed upright on it's own and he had his hands free. This worked for us :) See attached pictures for details.

I ordered this costume for my 4 year old daughter. She wanted to be a cowgirl for Halloween. My daughter is on the taller side for a 4 year old and this costume fit her perfect. She weighs 40 lbs. She loves it. I thought the quality for the price was very good. I read reviews before I purchased this costume and alot of people had said that their childs arms became tired from holding the reigns. We simply put the reigns together with the velcro thats on the end of the strap and it fit over her head comfortable. It wasn't tight at all and her arms were free to carry her treats. If she felt like holding the reigns then we just separated the velcro and it was back to reigns. Plus, she plays in the house pretending she's riding a pony so this costume isn't just for Halloween. She'll get alot of use out of it. All in all a very great costume for the price.

I am so delighted with this horse costume. My 3 1/2 year old son declared he wanted to be a horsie for Halloween and picked this one out himself (red is also his favorite color). The straps are so adjustable, that they fit him without needing to be taken in. I read the comment that the horse's head needs to be held up all the time or it flops down. However, the reins have Velcro. When he wants the head to stay up on its own, he "canters" over to me, and I undo the Velcro, put the reins around his waist, and Velcro them closed again. Presto. The head stays up and his hands are free (which will be perfect for trick-or-treating. We have horses at home, so we're lucky he thinks they are the best animals in the whole world (his words), and that he's declared he's a cowboy.

The costume is fun for my 5 year old. It's also very soft and comfortable. However, when we took it out of the box, one of the suspenders was ripped out of the costume, so I had to sew it back on. Also, something to consider...which I did, when you get a costume liket this for your child, remember they are walking around a neighborhood having to hold it up. I think mine got a bit tired of that!

This has been one of the best buys we ever made! The price was fantastic ($17) and kids absolutely love it. It's mostly held up to tons abuse. After almost a year, the bridle was partly detached from the horse (two kids were literally pulling it apart), but a few stiches later, and we're back in business.

My daughter wore this brown pony for halloween and several parties leading up to halloween. She is 42 inches tall and 44 lbs. It fit her great. Only complaints: the suspenders are poorly sewed in. I had to return the first pony costume as I received it damaged. Although it was "brand new" the red suspenders were completely frayed in the rear of the costume. I returned it and purchased a new one which arrived in perfect condition. After wearing the costume to two halloween parties, the straps in the rear frayed on the new costume and I had to use safety pins to hold them together. My daughter did receive several compliments on her outfit. She didn't like having to hold the pony's head up, but other than those two complaints, I would still recommend this costume.

My daughter absolutely adores this horse. We bought this as an addition to her cowgirl costume and it was a total hit. Now that Halloween is over, it's a wonderful toy. The horse is easy to put on for my three year hold, the straps are sturdy, and it is the perfect length for her. On Halloween, we knew that she'd be holding her treat bag and wouldn't be able to hold the head up herself, so we tied the straps on the horse head to the suspender straps to keep the head up.

La base d'un super costume! Il n'y a que le cheval mais il a clairement dépassé mes attentes! Un tissus très doux et asser résistant pour que ma fille de 5 ans joue au cowboy dans la maison toute la semaine avant l'halloween. Son frère va certainement le porter l'an prochain! Très contente!
