After a saga with this purchase, Amazon has handled it to my satisfaction.Beware of these lights. They are cheaper at $33 than others which are ranging from 45 to 55, however, they are for a reason!2 out of 3 lights (from 3 separate shipments) arrived damaged and showed creases on the metal shell. They are very prone to bending. One even had a crease in the plastic tube covering the LED strip, like it folded in half!The reason for 2 stars instead of 1 is that they are very bright and turn on instantly.And you can chain them together.If you don't mind the risk of damaged goods or are OK with some blemishes in the look, they are a decent functioning light.

This light is nice and bright. The fixture is lightweight for its size, and it's easy to hang. The package includes all the hanging hardware needed: S-hooks, chain, ceiling hooks and anchors. The cord is a generous length and reaches my workshop outlet nicely. The LEDs come on instantly with no flickering like a fluorescent light. I'm using the side outlet on the fixture for a little gooseneck LED lamp, so that comes in handy. A pull-chain switch turns on the light, but it doesn't switch the little side outlet; it remains on when the fixture is plugged in. I'm happy I bought this unit, and I hope to have many years of service from it.

I found these LED shop lights easy to install. The lights come with hooks that can readily be secured into exposed floor joists as in an unfinished basement or shop. The packaging also includes anchors so the hooks can be installed to a drywall ceiling. It is unlikely, then, that one would have to run to the hardware store to complete the simple job. The LED shop lights can also be plugged into one another like baby elephants linking trunks and tails, so only one plug is needed for up to three shop light fixtures. I used these LED lights to replace florescent shop lights.The LEDs provide much more light than the florescent shop lights, do not flicker, and are claimed to last much longer. While the LEDs cannot be replaced individually, should the LED bulbs burn out before I do, I can swap them out for a new fixture and still save over florescent bulbs. I believe the LED's provide "cold," as opposed to "warm light," a distinction somewhat obscure to me and irrelevant in my shop.

As another reviewer mentioned regarding his unit, mine came with a bent reflector. The one I got had a resealed box, too, and may have been a returned item. I would doubt the lights get damaged in shipment because the box is very flimsy. Another reason for giving this a lower rating is that the hanging chains supplied are very short. Luckily, my ceilings were low enough that I can still reach the short on/off pull-chain.One reviewer mentioned seeing "yellow stripes" on the surfaces illuminated by the fixture (and thought he would try the frosted lens version next), but I don't see that effect with my installation.All that being said, the light works well. The on/off switch seems to be firm and the light it gives off is great. The appearance isn't gorgeous, but hey, it's in my unfinished workroom. Since these can be easily linked together, I will probably buy a few more.

Great shop light for the money. After viewing a similar product in my friend's cellar, I decided to replace two units in my garage. Upon arrival, noted one of the shipments was simply a postage label placed over the manufacturers original flimsy cardboard package. Needless to say this was quite beaten up upon arrival. Surprisingly, however, the lamp unit itself withstood the handling (a tribute to its construction) and worked flawlessly. The second unit was repackaged in a shipping cartoon and arrived in perfect shape. Installed both units in my garage. The light weight of these units is astounding considering their output. They were so light that using the units built in slots, I simply inserted two plastic ties on each end and secured them to the hanger chain. By individually tightening the ties, I was easily able to level alignment as needed. Extremely impressed with the brightness and overall performance of this product. They are also look great and could be used in semi formal setting as well.

I decided to return this light because one of the tubes does not illuminate properly. If you look at the attached photos I think you will see what I am talking about. It's a shame really because this light had all the features I was looking for. I don't know if this was a product defect or if the light got damaged during shipping which is why I also attached a picture of the very large box the light was packaged in without packing material, plenty of room to rattle around.When I return from vacation I will probably take my chances and order another one as it was just right for my garage workbench.I ordered another one and am pleased to say it works great and is just the light I needed for my garage workbench. That being said, one of the hanging chains turned out to be a little longer than the other one so I has to shorten it.

I started with a 3-pack to test these out in my 2-car garage shop (24'x22' with 10' ceiling). I installed them in a row 1/3rd from one wall spaced about 2' apart, knowing it would not be enough light for the entire garage. I'm very happy with the amount of light and the quality. I'll be buying another 3-pack to light the other side. This is a great product and much less expensive than similar shop lights from other companies!
